I'm pretty sure we won the Spring Football National Championship last year. This team is all about hyping themselves up until the games start. Has Stacy started with the stories about how hard the team is working and how much better they look yet?

I am really hoping the new OC and DC will make a difference, inspire the players, get some wins , give the fans something to look forward to, help recruiting and get Purdue out of the cellar.
After all, if the old coordinators were all that bad, Hazell wouldn't have kept them around for 3 years. Right?Hope so too. Never felt like motivation was a problem with the coaches we replaced though.
I wonder if they did what Hazell told them or their own way! After all, if the old coordinators were all that bad, Hazell wouldn't have kept them around for 3 years. Right?
I have heard rumors of near fights between Hudson and Shoop. I am truly wondering if Shoop finally threw his hands up against Wisconsin and went overboard with his play calling as a spite move because unless you are a team like Georgia Tech, Army, or Navy...you shouldn't run the ball that much UNLESS your RB's are absolutely killing the other team. I have a sense that it was a combination of Hazell trying to establish some foundation and not simply move through coordinators, no ability to find what he felt would be a better coordinator, and that Shoop believed he had some how cracked the code for offensive play calling was the problem. In all honesty, I'm still not sold on the idea that Hudson was all that bad. When the offense was able to move the ball with some consistency and not leave the defense on the field forever, they were generally good enough to have won some ball games.
Why would Shoop be the upset one? His offenses never scored enough points. Hudson's D gave the team far more opportunities to win than Shoop's O did.
Also, I have heard that Wisky plan was Hazell's bidding.
It was Hudson who was incredibly upset at Shoop for his terrible game planning and calling that led to his defensive players being out there all game long. From my sources, Hudson put Shoop against a wall at one point. If that's the case, I can see how a totally clean house can lead to better wins because as Lincoln said...'A house divided can not stand.'
Hudson also had other issues that impacted his tenure
I'm positive I won't run out of beer. That way I can toast all the progress!
Hey since tax day is coming up, I wonder if you can claim that as a charitable contribution?Just re-upped my 50-yard-line, Shively Club seats through 2018 - looking forward to savoring what life on fall afternoons has to offer!
They are 1-AA and the B1G is going away from playing those teams I believe.Positive: Butler U jumped to D1 in football this year - perhaps we can get a "home and away" on the schedule to replace the FCS games.
And of course, the Butler Bowl has those pesky, expensive lights...
And that was my one positive! They are 1-AA and the B1G is going away from playing those teams I believe.
Whaaaatttttt, wait a danged minute. I'm positive it's 2016...................... isn't it???the 2016 Positive Purdue Football Thread has been moved...since there is nothing positive.
No but if on Medicare I believe it will qualify for them to cover your needed admission to a mental health facility.Hey since tax day is coming up, I wonder if you can claim that as a charitable contribution?
So who are we going to play when the rest of the B1G stops playing US???They are 1-AA and the B1G is going away from playing those teams I believe.
Yep, just got my contribution statement from Purdue: The tax deductible portion of my payment for my two seats this year is $2,677.00. Not bad!Hey since tax day is coming up, I wonder if you can claim that as a charitable contribution?
Pretty easy schedule 6 wins doesn't impress me
There are some Power 5 programs in worse shape than us. We have not been ranked since early October 2007. This is an unranked streak of roughly 3,130 days, give or take a few. Syracuse has not been ranked since 2001. Colorado not since 2005. Indiana is unranked since 1993. Instead of focusing on the other 60-some power 5 teams that have been ranked since the last time we have, I choose to think of these 3 schools and try to ignore the fact that one of them has beat us 3 years in a row. That helps me stay positive (or perhaps delusional).
