On the flip side to that, I think he played very well those first 5 mins of the game —for him. That was the best he looked so far. Now understand, it’s not where we need him to be to make a deep run with him playing major mins. But it was encouraging to see the effort and more physicality from him than we had seen in the first 3 games.
I don’t mind him starting games—it’s kinda like TKR last year…it forces the other teams to play us differently. Liking the rotations we have and the majority of the last 2 games, TKR has played the 5 with Heide at the 4. Even Furst looked a lot better out there last night. Then we get to our closing lineup and Berg is not there (which is fine) and we go small(er).
Hopefully, he continues to improve and understand his role to allow the team to be really successful.
