2025 QBs

Assuming we have Marion coming, it would seem Browne is perfect in his system. Browne said he would come back depending on new coach. Sawyer committed and he’s a good fit too. Marcus Davila seems interested so if he stays and Odom brings his son we will be at 4 QBs, 5 if Meredith stays. I also expect Mockobee is kicking his chops and we have 2 good RB recruits and I hope marion brings one with (plus they have 2 of their own recruits). WR not as important. Our offense is not that far off, just need to go out and get some really good OL.

Purdue football Question marks after Purdue hires Barry Odom

Three biggest question marks following Purdue hiring Barry Odom as next head coach.

🚂 Can in-portal talent be lured back?
❓ Who follows Odom?

INDIANA VS OHIO ST PLAYOFF

You demanded a source. well here it is. i never said it was set it stone. I said i read that it was predicted.. and look, it is predicted again.

READ IT AND WEEP.

NOW GET OFF MY BACK AND STOP CALLING MYSELF AND OTHERS NAMES!

I don't lie. Sometimes i get names confused. But I don't lie.

how about you start accepting my word! If I say something, I've usually seen it somewhere. and I use my brain to speculate and make conclusions. That's what I learned how to do at Purdue. It's called doing research, collecting data, making a conclusion. I learned that in Chemistry 115-116. it's not that hard. I make my own conclusions and I have my own opinions. often times they are different than yours. That doesn't make me any smarter or dumber. It just means we are different.

take some time. Read it. I know you won't believe it. Maybe next time, you will. or at least you'll stop bad mouthing others who share a differing viewpoint than yours.

The December 5

Not make or break but some tough games coming up over the next 5.

At PSU: always hard on the road and for the opener
Maryland: jury is still out
Texas A&M: “home” game and they are tough/physical team. Another good test.
At Auburn: potential away game against the #1 team in the country
Toledo: not really a slouch team.

I can see us winning 3 or 4 at most. Would be shocked if we win 4 and even more shocked if we went 5-0.

I do hope the young guys (Harris, Cox, Burgess) can get some minutes and put together some consistent scoring. Need them to be ready come B1G season.

OT: Purdue's connection with Pearl Harbor

83 years ago today, American forces were attacked at Pearl Harbor. Some do not realize the Purdue connection on "the day which will live in infamy."

During the 1st wave of Japanese attacks, two Army Air Corps pilots managed to take off from nearby airfields to engage the enemy. One of the pilots, George Welch, completed three years of a mechanical engineering degree from Purdue University, before joining the Army Air Corps in 1939. While attending Purdue, he was initiated as a brother of Delta Upsilon.

On December 7, Welch shot down 4 Japanese aircraft including 3 Aichi D3A Val dive bombers and one Mitsubishi Zero fighter.

The other Purdue connection was the plane that Welch and Taylor (the other AAC pilot) flew. The iconic Curtis P-40B Tomahawk was designed by a Purdue man, Don Berlin (BSME, 1921).

Below is an artist's rendition of Welch taking off under enemy fire, 83 years ago today, a day which will live in infamy.

Keep Matt Painter thread

He represents integrity
He loves Purdue and the kids he coaches
He is part of Purdues Brand like Keady
He is one of the winningest coaches in college basketball
He understands the game and raises the level of his players on and off the court

I would trust my son with him to teach him the good values I had been installing in him where that may not be the case in this game these days. Winning is always secondary to integrity with Matt and that's where my kid is going.

Antione West JR. 2025 commit

Watched him last night. Kid has an elite court sense. Big physical body for a HS player. Keeps his head up even when doubled. He should have had double digit assist his teammates were unable make open shots. IMO, he looks for others WAY too much considering their inability execute. Compares closely to CJ Cox in many ways just a bigger version. I don't recall any player scoring on him. His team plays a switching defense and not really well. They gave the other team wide open three's all game long. Watching him play this year is going to be rough if one of their starters remains as a starter. Not going to name him but oh my seemed like it was 4 on 6 all night long. I started watching him last year he has matured a lot in one year especially in upper body strength. I see this morning he has moved up to #77 on ESPN's top 100 seems about right to me. I guess he maybe took 5 shots 1 of 3 from 3 finished with around 9 points. When I watched him this summer he was more of a scorer, and I expected to compare him to E'Twaun but CJ is much closer to what I watched last night. Kid has what it takes to find the floor in a crowded field of point guards. He will be successful at Purdue and beyond. I like his game and mental attributes has all the tools.

I'm curious as to pulse of this group if beloved Boilernaket fans.

Share why you feel they way you do if you like.

My take, I hope (heart) Purdue has their man and are awaiting the announcement or finalizing terms. But I fear (head) they are still actively meeting with potential candidates and narrowing their selection.

I voted with my heart.
