Hell to pay

Trumps support of Israel has been well documented long before this election.
He's going to severely punish those that do not comply with his demands or who continue to attack Israel.

His threat of "Don't" will actually have consequences, and harsh ones at that. Unlike Biden's which was ignored and laughed at.
Exactly and that's the irony. Because of the Biden/Harris support of Israel, some black and Arab Americans that were pro-Palestine did not vote for Harris. Some voted for Chump over the issue for some reason. Talk about the low information voter.

Browne enters portal

He still could come back obviously, but saw that Browne has decided to enter the Transfer Portal.

I think with the right coaching that he could be a very good QB for us. He can extend plays and make plays with his legs. He was a little inaccurate at times, but that is where the coaching comes in. Also, we had the worst WR corp in the BT. The only consistent pass catcher is Klare, which we should be fighting tooth and nail to keep. Klare will be playing on Sundays someday.
I think he can be a good college QB, it's hard to judge our QB's , between the OL and WR's not being able to get separation, it's like going into a meat grinder.

Friend of a friend told me he was leaving. Sounds like its going to be a mass exodus. Havent heard too much about walters but according to this person several players werent very happy with several staff members. Work ethic and professionalism were severly lacking if the stories are accurate. Bobinski made a couple comments about the staff yesterday.
some ex players weren't all that happy w/ Walters, last week Ben Kruel (sp ?) on X said when Walters was hired he just came in and said want you, you, you gone no eye contact or hand shake nothing

Colvin and Hiede

There is zero reason to believe that Painter cares about as a "scorer" off the bench. I think Painter knows where his bread and butter is and that's Smith, TKR and Loyer and that at least 2 of them will always be on the floor.
He has to care a little bit - you can't win games without some bench production. Ignoring the last game against Ole Miss when they gave us 2 points.

Regardless of what happens, getting 10 pts off the bench with current production from the Big 3, is a key come March to make a run....I think both Cox/Harris will figure it out.

Now if we are talking about yips, wonder what can change Furst's shot.

OT: UConn HC throws temper-tantrum ......

He is this era's Bob Knight. Great coach but can't control his emotions and it will eventually be his undoing.
Hurley's an annoying pr$ck, but IMO he has a ways to go before he approaches Knight's gargantuan level of hypocrisy-- BK was absolutely incapable of living up to the standards he absolutely demanded of everyone he interacted with....

Step back and ask.....what more can Trump do that Israel already is or hasn't done??
Trump will ask Netanyahu what he needs from the US to destroy Hamas and Hezbollah and then he'll provide it immediately. As opposed to Biden/Harris who were slow walking the support in order to appease the radical left in the Dem party.

The Purdue Football Job

Yeah, that seemed pretty fair to Purdue and maybe even a little optimistic about the state of the football program. The NYT takeaway seems to be that Purdue is a stable institution in a wealthy league, but that stability sometimes discourages financial innovation.

This sentence really jumps out at me: "Purdue has resources. It’s just sitting in a conference full of schools that have more, including in its own state." I don't know if that's necessarily true with respect to Indiana, but I do know that Purdue has run the smallest or close to the smallest athletic budget in the B1G for at least the past 30 years.

Maybe the combination of greatly increased tv revenue and Cignetti's overnight success at Indiana will compel Purdue to rethink its financial approach to football. Or, maybe we'll have this exact same discussion in another two or three years at which point the program will have fallen even further behind.

Why doesn't the University help support athletics financially?

Top universities for what? That's pretty subjective. I'd argue that if you're graduating from any B10 school, you're getting a top level education. But there are plenty of people who waste their time getting a gender studies or some other worthless degree from top schools.
Once you've got a few years under you careerwise, where you went is more important from a name recognition and networking standpoint as opposed to the actual education you recieved .

Top universities in any academic ranking be it with something highly respected like QS world rankings or US News and World Reports.

I would trade academic and athletic reputation with those of the University of Chicago in a heart beat.

101 Nobel laureates associated with University of Chicago. I am aware of only three with Purdue, two faculty and one student.

Is this true - The first move of Coach_Walters . . .

I think it was Air Strike.

Little did we know it was our scoreboard that would end up getting struck.

The hullabaloo around the “nickname” ended pretty quickly when it turned out the Defense was awful.
Looked more like they were On Strike the way teams marched down the field so easily against it.

Ok, now that it's done, who's hearing what about a hire?

You're right, we're not in the same circumstance, we actually have some football tradition, an identity, names and players people recognize. iu has none of that, never had and until this year, the only time they sold out a home game was when OSU or Purdue was coming to town.
Are you saying that 8 games into a single season, iu suddenly decides they're committed to football and makes a $72M investment?
Same amount of straight cash coming from boosters? Are you sure?
