Purdue at Penn State: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

I don’t want anyone saying Braden Smith is the best point guard in the country.
He’s 10 ply soft. More interested in assists than dominating a game.
He’s trying to be too cute. Just shoot the damn ball
He's the best Purdue PG in the Keady/Painter era (at least) without question. But people act like he's Jason Kidd or something.

obviously not mentally prepared for big 10 roadhouse!

8th in country got in their heads, gotta bring it

For my amateur 2 cents coaching, not sure why we started the game trying to force it inside so much

Seems like this year against bigger teams like this start outside and then go in

Hard to believe they can look so bad, I guess they’re human, rats!
Meh… I can’t complain with how we started— up 5-0 and then bricked several wide-open 3s….

We couldn’t sustain an excellent start , and allowed them to get comfortable

TKR winning the turnovers with 7 - in fairness though a couple of those were mystery calls and a weak sauce offensive foul. Overall though, Purdue hasn't had a bad whistle tonight, IMO for the road. Wouldn't have mattered any way.
Cox needs more PT

Colvin and Hiede

really interesting coaching move by Paint to go with this small ball lineup: 6'9, 6'6, 6'5, 6'4, 5'11. It must make Painter feel weird not having a 7 footer on the floor.
But, putting Heide and Colvin has seemed to make an impact and surprisingly, we're winning the RB battles. Of course, some of this has to do with TKR playing like a man possessed.
The quickness of Penn is causing all kinds of problems if your shots not falling your in trouble especially on the road
