TKR Talk

I TOLD YALL LAST YEAR TKR WAS GOING TO BE GOOD:

TKR is such a fantastic talent. I don't think he gets the attention he's earned. Part of it is because of how outstanding Braden is, stealing some of that attention. Trey is such a treat to watch, especially on the offensive end.

Wisconsin at Purdue

Stevenson leaving really hurt us. Now she plays 12 minutes a game on an 11-11 Stanford team. Of course it is Stanford so there is more that came with her transfer than just basketball. That said, I am glad to see some better play from this team the past two games. Only 11 turnovers against Wisconsin. I didn't expect that. Nice.
Wonder if Stevenson would return?

Colvin and Heide 3P splits

I don't understand it.

Through the first 40 games of his career, Colvin was 38-89 from three. That's 42.7% which is phenomenal. Over his last 12 games, he's 10-42 (23.8%) and that includes a 4-8 game against Nebraska. Without that game, he's 6-34 (Woof....17.6%).

Concurrently, through the first 48 games of his career, Cam Heide was 29-58 from three. That's a tremendous 50.0%. Over his last 13 games, he's 4-29 (Yikes....13.8%).

Through much larger sample sizes, Colvin and Heide showed to be very good shooters and they've fallen off a cliff. Any thoughts?
Brutal. It's not like they're not getting good looks.

Bobby Knight song - pretty good

He was as old school as they get. He produced though. I think as a player, if you committed to iu and BK at the time, you had to know what you were getting yourself into and be ready for it.
There's nothing inherently good about "old school." Plenty of good things and bad things are "old school."

I've never seen a good leader in my time in the military and that started in 92 and ended in 20 who was the kind of thin skinned hypocritical ass Knight was. They may have gotten "results" but it was at the cost of the people they led and ultimately a lot of them just got worse as they aged until they ended up just like Knight.

You can get results being like Keady or Painter. Firm, but fair. Kind but demanding. Not requiring things they didn't give a damn about holding themselves accountable to like Knight was.

There's nothing about Knight worthy of emulation or respect IMO. He's mostly forgotten now and that's a good thing.

J6 Bombshell: Trump Didn't Just Offer Military to Protect Capitol, He Ordered It but Was Disobeyed

“I assure you: Trump, with his character, with his persistence, he will restore order there quite quickly. And all of them, you will see — it will happen quickly, soon — they will all stand at the feet of the master and will wag their tails a little. Everything will fall into place.”

No Googling. Guess who this quote is from?
Hunter Biden?

POS President Chump blames DEI for plane crash

I don't think it had anything to do with minorities as a group, which your comments imply, but rather the mental and/or emotional context of a much more narrow group inside the population on the whole. That distinction is different than a blanket statement on minorities IMO
This is just you speaking for yourself. I believe you're on the record saying similar things about gays and lesbians.........that they gave a mental disorder. It obviously follows than you feel the same about the trans community. Religious minorities are not your bag. I guess you're ok with color as long as they are MAGA. Those attitudes correlate with a '50s version of women but who knows.

J6 Bombshell: Trump Didn't Just Offer Military to Protect Capitol, He Ordered It but Was Disobeyed

Are you ever gonna stop these lies?
Law enforcement were completely outnumbered. Once the breech happened, the cops aren't going to arrest people. Are you freaking insane? They were trying to deescalate the situation. Just talk to people and try to get them to leave. The traitors were gonna be caught anyway thanks to all the security cameras.

This is the only way you can argue J6. Lying about cops escorting rioters and ignoring the rioters that beat the cops.
Bob, I've said it before and apparently I have to say it again....when are you going to put Jan 6 in your rearview mirror? I realize it's your Pearl Harbor and 9/11 wrapped into one, but it's only Feb 3rd. You've got 4 more years of Trump and if you and Kat are this bent out of shape already, I'm worried you might end up in the loony bin. sitting in a corner muttering "Jan 6th, Trump, Jan 6th, Trump, Jan 6th, Trump".

"woof" and "yikes" indeed....

I'd like to think it's a sophomore slump-- and the accompanying pressure of knowing they are now more relied upon to provide perimeter scoring, as opposed to not having too much expected of them as freshmen.

There are multiple examples (Zach, Mason, Carsen, Eifert, etc.) of the time it takes before the light comes on for so many players coming through Painter's system.

As much as we would all love to see people be dominant from the outset -- those instances are pretty rare.
