J6 Bombshell: Trump Didn't Just Offer Military to Protect Capitol, He Ordered It but Was Disobeyed

Are you ever gonna stop these lies?
Law enforcement were completely outnumbered. Once the breech happened, the cops aren't going to arrest people. Are you freaking insane? They were trying to deescalate the situation. Just talk to people and try to get them to leave. The traitors were gonna be caught anyway thanks to all the security cameras.

This is the only way you can argue J6. Lying about cops escorting rioters and ignoring the rioters that beat the cops.
Bob, I've said it before and apparently I have to say it again....when are you going to put Jan 6 in your rearview mirror? I realize it's your Pearl Harbor and 9/11 wrapped into one, but it's only Feb 3rd. You've got 4 more years of Trump and if you and Kat are this bent out of shape already, I'm worried you might end up in the loony bin. sitting in a corner muttering "Jan 6th, Trump, Jan 6th, Trump, Jan 6th, Trump".

Nurse: "Bob, it's time for your meds"

Colvin and Heide 3P splits

I don't understand it.

Through the first 40 games of his career, Colvin was 38-89 from three. That's 42.7% which is phenomenal. Over his last 12 games, he's 10-42 (23.8%) and that includes a 4-8 game against Nebraska. Without that game, he's 6-34 (Woof....17.6%).

Concurrently, through the first 48 games of his career, Cam Heide was 29-58 from three. That's a tremendous 50.0%. Over his last 13 games, he's 4-29 (Yikes....13.8%).

Through much larger sample sizes, Colvin and Heide showed to be very good shooters and they've fallen off a cliff. Any thoughts?
"woof" and "yikes" indeed....

I'd like to think it's a sophomore slump-- and the accompanying pressure of knowing they are now more relied upon to provide perimeter scoring, as opposed to not having too much expected of them as freshmen.

There are multiple examples (Zach, Mason, Carsen, Eifert, etc.) of the time it takes before the light comes on for so many players coming through Painter's system.

As much as we would all love to see people be dominant from the outset -- those instances are pretty rare.

Wisconsin at Purdue

Depends on how we want to look at "good win." Is it a resume-building win? No. But after the last 6 weeks, beating a team 40+ spots above you in the NET is a definite step in the right direction.

I'm happy for the team. Losing by 30+ night after night has to take a toll. Sometimes you just need something--anything--positive. The team's been much more competitive since the debacle at Illinois. I hope they keep it going.

The February schedule is comparatively manageable. At this point, they just have to build whatever they can over the last 1/3 of the season.

Of course she's been struggling for a while - we've been playing very good teams, with good, experienced post players. It's been an absolute gauntlet. Thus why it's imperative that our recruiting picks up - the BIG is going to be on a whole other level talent wise than it's been for the last 20 years.

Puryear is improving because physically she was college ready right away. I figured she'd be the first to really round into shape. McCarthy will be a solid player for us the rest of her career - but she needs more time to develop - unfortunately we need a lot from her right now, and we aren't getting it. Thus why we are losing - and often by a lot.

KG only talks about players injuries if is she asked about it. Only time. You have to pry all of that information out of her. Other programs literally instantly do press releases about players injuries right after the news is medically confirmed. That's what I always thought was the standard before this.
Stevenson leaving really hurt us. Now she plays 12 minutes a game on an 11-11 Stanford team. Of course it is Stanford so there is more that came with her transfer than just basketball. That said, I am glad to see some better play from this team the past two games. Only 11 turnovers against Wisconsin. I didn't expect that. Nice.

Two seed talk

If you read an earlier post of mine, you would have seen I said ratings and bracket predictions in January were a bit premature. I went on to say a 6 seed was as good as a 2 seed. That was after the Oregon win and before the OSU loss. And there were comments about me being a blind squirrel gathering nuts. I hate to be the barer of bad news but this blind squirrel you keep dissing is more accurate than the majority of this board. You don’t don’t understand why and that’s why you love to diss me!

But since you don’t believe my words, just carry on and look stupid!

Oh yeah, I can see us being a #2 seed. Oh sure! It’s time some of you came back down to Earth. Purdue’s chances of being a 2 seed are about the same as Edey making rookie of the year. It’s possible but I’m not going to put money down and bet on it.

As losses go, this was not a quality one. We looked too far into the future. And kind of took OSU at home as a given. I’ve seen this too often from Purdue teams, especially in the tourney when they look ahead to the second game and forget to take care of business against the easy opponent.

Purdue’s basketball history is filled with broken records. You come off a big win, receive personal awards, talk about painter being a hall of famer deserving of a lifetime contract and then the team lays an egg against an easy team
I stopped reading after "If you'd read an earlier post of mine" and I saw the typical wall of words. You must be in one of your irrational moods if this followed your previous post.

J6 Bombshell: Trump Didn't Just Offer Military to Protect Capitol, He Ordered It but Was Disobeyed

“I assure you: Trump, with his character, with his persistence, he will restore order there quite quickly. And all of them, you will see — it will happen quickly, soon — they will all stand at the feet of the master and will wag their tails a little. Everything will fall into place.”

No Googling. Guess who this quote is from?

Why do you people give Pelosi a pass? She was complicit in this yet she’s been exempt.

Colvin and Heide 3P splits

A lot of the recent misses have been off of good or wide open looks which makes it even more puzzling. I'm sure some of it is mental yips at this point, and hopefully that aspect can be overcome.

Another thought: is it partly due to the fact that so many of their looks prior to this year came from Zach kicking the ball out of the post? When you're standing still at the arc, looking at the ball and the rim, and expecting Zach to kick it out to you when the other team doubles, isn't it simply an easier shot to execute? With Braden creating offense, you don't know when you're going to get the ball or where it's going to come from. While it seemingly wouldn't account for such a precipitous drop in %, could that be playing at least a small role? I seem to remember our 3Pt% dropping a few years back as Jaden took over the reins and pretty much created the offense. Is it just the same thing happening here?
I don't know about anyone else, but if I'm shooting a 3 with Edey down there, the pressure is lower because even if I miss, there's a decent chance he gets the rebound.

Now, it's a lot lower (as is our rebounding in general) so if I miss them it's more likely going the other way.

A lot of shooting is mental.

For those that praise Chump’s tariffs

Mexico does not currently have troops at the border. Either prove it with a link or stop lying.

And here is your name-calling within this thread: "Dumb ass, full of shit, pussy, reactionary and narcissist,"
LOL not name calling of Donald Trump (or any politician that you happen to disagree with)? Go ahead; call Hunter Biden a crack-head scumbag or Joe Biden a senile idiot! I'll be right there with you.

I'm talking about name calling other posters instead of supporting with facts.

It hasn't just been today though, she's been struggling for awhile. I hope she makes the jump and can be a contributer next year. You see Puryear improving and they were both 3 star unranked players with similar offers. Puryear(Ok st, Kansas st, Cincy) McCarthy(Minnesota, WVU, Providence).

Yeah it would be nice for CKG to shed some light on some of these mysterious injuries(Smith, Harper), but she did talk about Amiyah yesterday and has in the past about keeping her out to rest because of a shin injury, and same with Poole before her most likely season ending injury.

She might be trying to protect some of the other players by not releasing any details, I'm just spitballing here.
