There may have been malfeasance at the FBI

so it's ok if it happens to someone else, just not "me" .
sounds like ssdd in politics.

if they were against these practices, it would make sense. but they are not.
Don't really care that they tapped Trump Tower, what I'm upset about is the Dems lied about doing it and denied it. Of course the MSM bit hook line and sinker into the Trump is telling fibs on his tweets again.

Pretty brutal for the FBI. I can see why DOJ didn't want it released. Unbelievable behavior.

The Ds will deny their complicity, and the DOJ and FBI should be taken to task for this unlawful behavior.

The Ds keep carping about a "Constitutional Crisis" - yes, it is one, perpetrated by HRC and the DNC, Rosenstein, Comey, and the Obama Adminstration (Clapper, Brennan) to spy on a political opponent. Their actions are absolutely repugnant. The "Deep State" was in full effect with these actions.

Horseshit. It’s the Ds under Obama who flouted the law at every turn.

profanity does not make a statement true.

republicans were previously not and are currently not appearing to be in favor of the 4th amendment. even fox news has called them out on it.

complaints about democrats may be true, but rings rather hollow when they choose not to practice what they preach.

They tapped Trump Tower because they were monitoring Page. I think the FBI was doing due diligence here. They just decided to use the information from everyone that used the phone in the Tower. That is illegal.
Than when Trump called them on it they lied about it.
So in support of my statement, I don't care if the FBI tapped Trump tower to gather information on Page. I do care about the rest of the shady stuff they did.

what office did carter page hold?
a position under an aspiring politician?
just a semantics argument?
there could be various counter examples to a joking/ broad statement.

how about...it seems that some are only concerned with constitution abuse based on political party

republicans have talked tough on democrat improprieties. unfortunately they showed their actual level of concern on surveillance and the 4th amendment based on their recent votes.

yes, team sport politics.
political party comes before the constitution, as we see both sides do. republicans are currently the unimpressive ones on this topic

Well....is anyone going to talk about the damn thing?

There's nothing to talk about cause it literally revealed nothing on its own . It's clearly written very carefully to try to make it sound like something bigger than it actually is. Without hardly ANYONE (including Congressional Republicans who voted to release it) having actually seen the FISA application, we don't know what was left out. FISA applications aren't based on 1 thing, and they have to be signed off by multiple people - and have to be argued in front of a judge. This warrant was renewed 3 times by a federal judge - each time you have to present new evidence to show that the warrant is serving its purpose.

The funny thing is this memo also proved what Republicans had been crying all about - the Russia investigation was started because of good old George Pop spilling the beans to an Australian government official that called the FBI.

Willfully ignorant - slurping up the left-wing Kool-Aid. Trey Gowdy did see the FISA applications and he helped write the memo.

The FISA applicants misled (withheld information) from the FISA judge on multiple occasions. That, in and of itself, is a criminal offense for each time it was done (at least 3). The information used to get the warrant was tainted - it was a purely political piece of crap, generated on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC (paid for by the Clinton campaign and the DNC; written by disgraced foreign agent Christopher Steele, using garbage (mis)information supplied by Russian agents) used by those favoring a Clinton presidency to get a warrant and to smear the Trump campaign in July 2016 (4-5 months before the election). The Ds (and James Comey and McCabe) knew the information in the Russian dossier was crap, but they used it anyway.

You want to talk about a "Constitutional Crisis" and about Russian collusion? Can you come up with a more blatant case than this? It's obvious - the Russian collusion was by the Ds, not the Trump campaign. The Mueller investigation is built on a house of cards - a pack of lies.

And you watch - more information is coming out. We've only seen 15% of what is going to come out. The Ds, Obama Administration, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, Mueller, FBI folks are going to have a lot of explaining to do.

I believe that you believe this. Sheep are easily misled.

The sheep are people like you who slurp up the bile published and "reported"in places like the WaPo, Mother Jones, Vox, Huffington Post, Salon, Newsweek, Morning Joe, CNN....

It doesn't seem to matter to you how much evidence comes out, you won't believe it because you don't want to. You couldn't possibly admit that Trump was right all along.

What I wrote in the second paragraph has been corroborated now.

It actually hasn't. Hannity told you 15% has been uncovered and you lap it up.

No, more will be coming out in the upcoming weeks. You watch - wait a minute, you'll just ignore all that comes out anyway because it doesn't fit your Progressive worldview.

Lock in the quote. I want to check back in a few weeks to see what comes out

Wall Street Journal?

So since the Wall Street Journal is truth syrup, you don't care that Trump paid off a porn star right before the election to silence her about their affair while Melania was pregnant with their son? What an admirable thing to do, huh?

do you dispute the report? the texts? that comey was leaking to the press? that the dems funded steele? what exactly is the issue here?

A "report" would imply it's based on fact. The "memo" has already been shown to be twisted in fact.

My question to you: If a "dossier" put together by a well respected former spy had information that was corroborated by intelligence agencies, does it make it any less factual? Does a bear shit in the woods? No matter who paid for it, it can still be verified.

Why was the dossier put together? Who paid for it?

This "well respected former spy" was also desperate stop Trump from becoming President according to the meme. Yes the Dossier could be true but Mueller has had a blank check and almost a year and nothing to show for it. You Dems keep hoping to find something but it has been a year and basically nothing. The Republican point is that there was not enough evidence to warrant a special counsel. The FBI basically misrepresented and overhyped the DOSSIER to the FISA court and made the case and against Trump stronger that it really was. If these accusations are true then some in the FBI and DOJ should be charged for crimes of their own. The Mueller operation should be shut down since it was based on false information. This Mueller investigation has caused all sorts of problems and should be shut down.

Exactly, it's the epitome of the legal term "The fruit of the poisonous tree", used in the United States to describe evidence that was obtained illegally. The logic of the terminology is that if the source (the "tree") of the evidence or evidence itself is tainted, then anything gained (the "fruit") from it is tainted as well.
