Fletcher was huge and has been in big games. When teams focus on Zach and Braden he many times picks up the slack...and for any that noticed...he has been huge in his D for the most part this tourney@tjreese - THE SHOT DOCTOR: Elbow above your eyebrow, shoulders square to the basket, feet landing where they left the floor, right angles at your elbow and wrist, off hand square with the ball and AWAY from the ball.
just to nuance this a bit. Fletch can struggle with strength and foot speed as an individual defender, but he does great inside a team defense. He has read what was going on and drew some charges AND set up charges that unfortunately were not called, but make no mistake he is a very cerebral player that improves the offense and defense in spite of his physical shortcomings at times. He adds value if not hitting his shots. That isn't to say that he should never be subbed for, but to realize his game is more than making shots or individual DFletcher was huge and has been in big games.
