With Flory Bidunga visiting Duke on June 24th, the Kokomo center's recruitment is heating up even further with anticipation that Bidunga will be announcing in the next month or so.

Unfortunately for Purdue, it appears that Matt Painter and company have fallen down Bidunga's list of suitors. Recent projections have Bidunga going to Duke despite Duke getting into the Bidunga sweepstakes late. Before Bidunga visited in June, he didn't have an offer from Coach Jon Scheyer.

Bidunga had an up and down showing at Adidas's 3SSB AAU event last weekend with him lacking energy in early games before showing what makes him one of the Nation's best recruits and most athletically dominant big man in the 2024 class.

Bidunga talked about a few of the top programs after him and his thoughts on them, absent of course was Purdue who has shown themselves as one of the best programs at developing big man. Purdue also added a former Bidunga teammate, Jace Rayl, as a walk-on this summer but from what we've heard at Boiler Upload, reporting elsewhere, and his recent comments the top programs for Bidunga are Michigan, Kansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, and the front runner, Duke.

Unless we hear new information in the next week or so, we don't consider Purdue as a landing destination for Bidunga. With Purdue's bevy of young talent in the front court and Bidunga's ability to pick any top program in the country, it's not surprising news but stilil disappointing for Purdue fans.
