Really encouraged about Yancey after talking to him. Honestly, I didn't think last season he seemed to care enough about not playing well or at least didn't seem affected enough by it for my liking. But in speaking with him today, he seemed like a totally different guy. Not only did he admit his struggles -- felt like he brushed them off last season while they were happening -- but he was really eager to come back better. Gregory Phillips has a lot to do with that, both the competition he provided but also in the friendship.
Here's hoping Yancey carries over the confidence he has now to the season. Purdue desperately needs him to be more the 2013 version than the 2014.
