Wisconsin at Purdue

Sounds like everyone's beef could be solved with an actual run game. Think about the play calling and probably don't need AOC to throw some of the bad throws he did today.

Vegas had us losing

you ever stop and wonder what players dont transfer in or transfer out or don’t commit if we were 2-10 and 0-6 rhe last two years?
When you can put a cohesive sentence together, I'll respond to whatever you're saying...

Do you even know plummers win loss record … I shudder to think of where this program would be if Oconnell was as bad as most walk ons

Ahhh... so, nobody acted as if we were Georgia.

That detail rather kills the post.
People did act like us losing was this massive upset ..:

hey you were all over me for singling out thienemann .. how come you aren’t all over everyone singling out Oconnell? What., if a player actually does some things does that impulse or yours go away ?

So, those people thought we were "Georgia"? That line still makes no sense, and weakens some of your otherwise solid points when nobody made that argument.

Toughen up. Your thin skin is showing again.

I shake my head at posters who single out players. It's moronic. People single out players, advocate one player over another, get in pissing matches about who should and shouldn't start, be playing, etc., then when someone underperforms it's the same nonsense flipped on it's head.

We're like every other program... we're always going to be imperfect, with imperfect players.

I couldn't give a fat rat's @ss who starts/plays, nor do I have any interest in tearing down a player who is giving his all. They're Boilermakers, and they're being asked to step up and play.

The whole "O'Connell vs Plummer" nonsense is a prime example. It's pointless, and engaging in that p*ssing match serves no purpose.

I just think Oconnell really saved us from some potentially much darker times and I think he’s a good QB and definitely not someone who should be crapped on.

maybe you’re right that I shouldn’t be so thin skinned about it. But I truly believe he will see much better days for us 85.. and I’m proud he’s on our side

Yeah Wisconsin has really good coverage .. ranked 7th in the nation. the next best school not named Purdue is Michigan at 21. If you could do a Google search you might .. I don’t know, know who the **** we’re playing?

7th ranked defense vs the worst offensive line in the big ten and I got news for you casual fan.. a lot of good QBs might struggle
WTF does that have to do with him making terrible throws? Could be the worst D in football and he still shouldn't throw into double or triple coverage.

I'm not really sure our QB coach knows what a good QB is. Picked Plummer this year. That failed. Then picked O'Connell. That hasn't been much other than Iowa. Won't let Burton throw a pass. And Alaimo, who knows...
I agree on not letting Burton throw a pass. Heck he won't let Plummer throw either. Why run every single time when you put in one of those 2? Let them throw it a few times so the D doesn't play a run every single time. Terrible play calling.

Plummer was 3 for 6, with 8 rushes for 15 yards (one was a sack for -4).

Burton is credited with only one rushing attempt.

should have been 4 of 6 but threw off his back foot and over threw a wide open receiver on hi s last pass.

They were rushing 3 and dropping 8 abs we couldn’t run the football. In fact, they were ignoring it. When that happens your choice is to die a slow death of throwing the ball away or getting sacked or to force throws … would that have made you happier? If he just got sacked and threw the ball away the whole time?
