Looking forward to tonight's bowl game, it's difficult not realize the strides we've made over the past several months. Aside from a few very optimistic fans, no one expected much from the Boilers this year. Many even predicted fewer wins this season as we got back to focusing on the basics. This team has a lot to be proud of.
I think so much of our success this season has to do with the attitude and approach of this coaching staff. It would have been easy to dwell on our deficiencies and accept less. Instead, they acknowledged our weaknesses and used every strength/advantage to put us in a position to be successful each time out.
Regardless of tonight's outcome, we are in such a better place as a program than we were just a handful of months ago. We've got two opponents in MN and IU that were thought to be years ahead of us coming into this season. Each of their coaches inherited teams coming off multiple bowls...both managed to take a step back and are staying home for the holidays, working on plans to regroup.
We are far from a finished product, but Brohm has put us back on the map. There is excitement surrounding Purdue football again, and media and recruits are taking notice.
Boiler Up!!

I appreciate everything Joe Tiller did for Purdue football, but I love the seriousness with which CJB, his staff and the players are taking this game— a VERY welcome departure from the “bowl games are a relaxing reward” nonsense that Tiller espoused toward the end of his career.

Hammer down!!

Tiller's first bowl game for Purdue as head coach was at the Alamo Bowl. I went to the pep rally on the river and listened to the coach speak. One of the first things out of his mouth was "I did't come here to lose." So that became the culture and we have enjoyed it on most occasions.

We are still in the crawling stages of this rebuild, with a chance to win a Bowl game and finish 7-6. With Brohm restocking the shelves and getting higher rated players, it’s gonna be fun the next 3-4 years.
Let’s Go!!
