Is it because he wants to hid from the public eye and the tough questions? Just wondering.
What an odd question... everyone knows robots don't need social media accounts...Is it because he wants to hid from the public eye and the tough questions? Just wondering.

Yeah, but he would take a "hard look" at each tweet before hitting send.Because he would screw it up somehow.
John Harbaugh, Dino Babers, and Butch Jones have Twitter. Why not? There's a lot of coaches that don't (and some coaches that have people do it for them that are not remotely authentic).
I don't think it's a big deal. However, he certainly isn't "making up for it" in other areas of engagement either.

I think the next coach we hire needs to have a unique personality for the sake of our program.Crean also has one. It depends on the coach. I don't think hazell has the personality for it
Bad enough we have to put up with his BS at press conferences.............lets keep it to a limit here..............the least we hear from him the better.

I don't care how over the top everything is as long as we're winning. We could have Donald Trump as our coach and I wouldn't care as long as he was winning. They don't need to be ridiculous (I find the Western Michigan guy to be a bit over the top - although he's also at a small school that gets little attention to be fair), but they need to care about more than just football.
I find Dabo Swinney to be over the top, but he engages outside of football, brands the program, etc. quite well. Obviously their fans are a bit more passionate, but we need someone who understands that building a good program at a school like Purdue can't just be done internally.
What if he was "sending creepy tweets to recruits" over-the-top, just hypothetically speaking, of course.I don't care how over the top everything is as long as we're winning. We could have Donald Trump as our coach and I wouldn't care as long as he was winning.

It wouldn't matter in my gold and black colored glasses as long as we were getting them and winning. What if he was "sending creepy tweets to recruits" over-the-top, just hypothetically speaking, of course.
...............actually, your spot on!I know I'm beating a dead horse talking about football camps, but watching the video featuring Brandon Brantley, he talks about going to Purdue basketball camp and loving it.
Purdue Football doesn't offer any overnight camps and hasn't in years (other than a quarterback camp that is now a - wait for it - 1 day camp).
How many people are you really going to get to go to a 1 day camp (and they don't even last a full day - they're 3 hours) from Ft. Wayne, Chicago, the region, etc.? I wouldn't spend more time in the car than my kid at camp and think it's worth it. And how much time can they really spend around these kids in 3 hours?
Obviously not every kid that attends camp is a Big Ten caliber talent - but it's absolutely common to utilize these camps as a recruiting tool.
In a perfect world, I think Purdue should be hosting a camp in Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, the region, Chicago - to get exposure. And they certainly should be hosting an overnight camp on campus for the "elite" camp.
PJ Fleck could be our guy after this coming year's charade. They don't need to be ridiculous (I find the Western Michigan guy to be a bit over the top - although he's also at a small school that gets little attention to be fair), but they need to care about more than just football.

no, we need to be thinking sumlin.
I am hoping no to Fleck because it will mean the top openings would have been filled and one of the big boys did not go after him meaning he had a subpar season giving potential schools more questions than answers. Kind of like in hindsight we would have done with Hazell.PJ Fleck could be our guy after this coming year's charade.

I think Fleck will end up at Illinois somehow.
Illinois had no choice with no AD and (I think) no full-time President. Cubit with a 5-7 or worse moves him along, assuming they finally hire an AD.I thought he was going to Ill. this year before the Cubit resigning.
Lol. Purdue won't swim in those waters
The one we currently have has a "unique personality". How's that working out for you?I think the next coach we hire needs to have a unique personality for the sake of our program.
He isn't unique, just boring. The one we currently have has a "unique personality". How's that working out for you?

There is one, don't know if it's active or not. The Matt Painter one is very active. How does Hazell not have a fake twitter account? If Morgan Burke can get someone to make one for him, why not DH? I can only imagine the comedy gold that could be had with such an account.
