New prospect, CB Miles Williams with an Official Visit scheduled for June 15.
He is out of the Big D down here in Texas. Mansfield is a burb of the metroplex.

Position Ranking: Rivals #44 / 247Sports #110 with the Composite being #77.

How is that for a spread? LOL! He does sound really high on us and he is another tall CB at 6'1". Our coaches are really going after the tall CB's. I like that philosophy.

This is key.

In recent classes NW has signed few WRs. Just this past year, Purdue signed a full class of highly talented WRs (4 coming in this year). That was a huuuuge selling point for NW.
That should be our selling points with Hunter. We will have the WRs he will need to be successful, besides coming home, our history of developing QBs, we are on the upswing, Brohm’s offense, Jeff and Brian playing in the NFL, etc.

This. If you’re a QB, the choice should be an easy one between Purdue and NW.

I say let Kirtz commit to NW. Once hunter signs with Purdue, there will be a flock of 5* WRs who will all want to come to Purdue and be a lot better than Kirtz.

I’m a Purdue alum and fan too, but I’d bet money we get zero 5* WR’s this year, regardless of what Hunter does. Sometimes we need to be realistic...

The handful of 5* WR's out there are all committed else where and we have no chance of flipping them. I do think getting Hunter will help us entice highly ranked WR's to lean a little bit more our way. Think 4* David Bell (Rivals #19 / 247 #16) and 4* TJ Sheffield (Rivals #48 / TJ Sheffield #38) here. If we added these two along with the already committed Rice..... That is one hell of a WR class and something to be very proud of.

If you are talking about 2020 and beyond then maybe just not in 2019.

He has no stars currently on Rivals, so I guess he is under the radar diamond in the rough?

to the doubters, last year at this time Moore was committed to Texas. Never say never until the player has signed his LOI. and in 6 months, both Bell and Sheffield could be 5*s. it could happen.

24/7 also reported Cam Craig is 285 pounds verses the rivals listing of 265 pounds.

When did he receive the offer? Not seeing it anywhere
The page just updated to show him committed, but I had the page up on my browser from this morning and it was showing him as having an offer, but like you said, it doesn't show when he got it.

I can't find where an offer was extended either. maybe he was a camp attendee this weekend? if so, I'll accept the chicken dinner for predicting a camp attendee would be our 6th commit.

Admittedly OT Cam Craig has no rating, and none of us have ever heard of him. but he's 6'5 and weighs 285, and I expect he will grow some more and become a 6'6 300 pound lineman, so he could be a HUGE find.

Or it could be the fact that Northwestern almost always wins head to head recruiting battles with Purdue.

Jesus, that is such a ridiculous statement. Purdue and NW are located very close to each other. Both programs offer many of the same recruits. Some will pick Purdue and some will pick NW. God what a stupid argument you are trying to make.

Have you ever been somewhere and nobody says it, but you kind of get the feeling you have out stayed your welcome?

It’s such a sign of how far we’ve fallen in FB recently when we get repeatedly trolled by Northwestern fans.

Should I mention my uncle and great uncle are from Lake Bluff and Lake Forest , and they chose Purdue over Northwestern?

This is one of the few recruits that we were going head to head that I can remember in the last few years. Congrats on this win, but with Moore, Anderson, Taylor in last year's class, Rice this year, and we are finalist for several other WRs, we will be fine at WR.

NW and Purdue are both great academic universities. As far as Hunter though, you might have less QBs on your roster. However, as far as getting him ready for the NFL, Purdue has more weapons at WRs and with Brohm's offense and Brian and Jeff both playing in the NFL; I think the opportunity is better at Purdue.

I fixed it for you. Don’t expect this to be a common occurrence moving forward now that we have a competent head coach. It’s not like you’ve been outrecruiting us for decades. You do realize our top 3 commits are all ranked higher than your best commit right? Kirtz is your best commit and would’ve been our 4th best. Move along now.

I live right next to Mansfield, what HS does he go to? Any idea?

Not ridiculous. Just the facts, ma'am.

You can wish it to be not the case, but Kirtz committing to NU over Purdue is the norm. And if Hunter picks NU, it will be par for the course. If he picks Purdue, which I admit could be a real possibility, it really would be the exception.

I would point out that most of these head to heads are prior to the Brohm era, but it doesn't seem like Brohm is turning things around on the NU vs. Purdue head to head recruiting pattern quite yet. Another caveat is that none of these players were QBs, so perhaps, there is something about this "QB University" ethos to Purdue and the "magic hand of Jeff Brohm" that will have Hunter defy the very one-sided pattern here and have him pick Purdue over NU. But, I'm guessing not.
