If you're Bobinski, what are you doing now at 3:53pm in regards to the Brohm situation and do you sew this up in the next 24 hours or do you let this go till after the IU game? Haven't heard anything from Bobinski thus far.

My guess is money will not be the issue, it will be very high pay at Purdue or Louisville. Hopefully CJB and family make the decision soon and communicate to Bobinski. I assume they’ll keep him leaving a tight secret if that is the decision, and work the coaching search over the next few weeks behind the scenes.

Well I think you hit the nail on the head: either resolve it now or let it die down for the next two weeks. Keep talking to Brohm every day, play on the relationship and try to sway the decision. If the lines of communication get cut, we have a problem.
All these recruits reference the family atmosphere in their commitments. Jeff has to pick between two families. Even if the recruits go with him, he will turn his back on some kids like Rondale and George K who think the world of him. I don't know that it's the same if he turns down Lville, but still tough to turn down your hometown.

I really dont think it is about money but if it is, just pay him. Hell, make it $6M. If they hold this recruiting class they will win a lot of games next year and sell most of them out. We can afford it and it will send a message even if we do lose him that Purdue football is serious about winning. Use the buyout money and go get Belichick, ha!

This would be a terrible way to go, and I think Bob is smarter than that. If the decision is leave, letting the rumor mill work to a frenzy for weeks on end and then announce he's out is a really bad scenario. And you know if he's decided to go he's got no incentive to keep it a secret. Especially if he can begin working current commits to his new home.

Good points, but the secret route seems the Purduiest thing. Maybe I’ve been conditioned too much (manage my expectations and all) and MBob is going to play things differently.

They're professionals and they'll handle it like professionals.

There's nothing we can do but sit back and wait.

I, for one, won't be spending much time fretting over this. We have no control.

I'm looking fwd to coming up for my first game of the Brohm era this Sat...

BOILER UUUUUUUP!!!
I'm with you. I've commented and speculated like a lot of people but in the end we can't do anything about it but keep rooting for Purdue no matter what happens. We need to take Wisconsin to the woodshed Saturday. Boiler Up!!
