What would be your true feelings if Greg Olsen was hired?

Oh you will. We all will. We all should watch, give it a year and see if there is improvement. If we are competitive for 3 quarters instead of 2 it is progress. If you watch 2nd year we should be knocking at 6-6. We need to be realists. We can be an 8-4 team consistently. We can upset one or two teams a year. But we won't ever be in the Top 4. I think a few candidates could get us to 8-4 land. And maybe some year we get a few breaks and win a Big 10. No one in the West terrifies me. We have competed with all at some point of time.

He's less qualified than Hazell was. He has no business as our next head coach.
If Purdue takes winning at football seriously than we have to hire a coach who has been a head coach and has a successful recruiting record. At this point taking a flyer on a up and comer hot coordinator won't cut it. Not Greg Olson
That's why you take a Montgomery,Rhule,Brohm, etc.. at least they've built something. Olson and some OC/DC will be learning on the job and we don't need another Hazell like 4+ yrs.
Please do not hire anyone associated with Purdue football over the last 10 years. A long slow slide into the toilet. Everyone associated with the program should go and take the losing attitude that has sunk in go with them.
What candidates have been around the last 10 years? Is there a Hope or Hazell assistant mentioned? Spack said there is no shot- he was last here 8 years ago.
