What About Norv Turner

Hell no to Norv. He's 64, hasn't coached in college in 30+ years. And he's not a very good OC anymore. Has made a living off of his success with the Cowboys and that was 20 years ago.
And idk where you heard they didn't get along, but all I've heard was they're good friends actually. And Zimmer would never fire him cause he's a close friend and Norv knew that and that he was holding the Vikings back.
I agree on your Turner assesment.He is a loser and way over the hill. But you should read Minneapolis Star Tribune article today on so called-"friendship"w/Zimmer. Why else besides a personel or medical issue would an OC leave 2 nights after a bad offensive showing on MNF?
All I can say to threads like this is "what about him?"

When a coach is let go....why do minds immediately move to that person? Is there not a reason they were fired?
His offenses were usually OK, as long as he had a Hall of Fame running back and a good offensive line.
Did anyone catch the Bears-Viikings game when Gruden was going on about how when you face a Norv Turner offense you have to prepare for anything? He had some awkwardly contrived acronym and visual on the screen behind him. He runs screen passes! Reverses! Holy crap. Anyway, wish I had a screen shot of it. Two days later.. he gone.
