At Brohm's Monday a.m. press conference. I'm positive it will be the first question asked are you taking U of L head coaching job or even interested in it.

And his response will be he is preparing for Wisconsin and the focus will be getting the team ready for a tough game. If what Dakich said was true (which he already got half of it correct), UAB coach and Strong are the lead targets. Not Brohm, which tells me it’s already been turned down. No need to address it publicly so long as everybody that maters (the ADs, players, assistant coaches) knows.

My question is, what is he telling the parents of recruits who are texting him today?

Fantasizing over Brohm leaving by a rival fan is a bit odd. Don't you think?

He'll give an answer that allows for plenty of wiggle room. He's not definitively saying anything.

Didn’t he say he is staying at Purdue for years to come just a few weeks ago? Not much wiggle room in there. Sure he can change his mind, but so far he has said no to your rumour. Not saying it cannot happen, but it’s definitely not certain.

Coaches say stuff like that all the time, especially when speculation exists about jobs that aren't open. None of that matters at all when other schools start their pursuit, and that's especially true about your alma mater. He'll definitely talk to them and seriously consider their offer, no matter what he said. It's naive to think otherwise.

Oh I’m not naive enough to think that Purdue is an invincible school who cannot lose a coach. You are the naive one to think that Brohm will just dump Purdue to go to Louisville. No doubt Coach Brohm will seriously consider an offer if given, but no offer has been given yet, at least not officially. Only real advantage Louisville has on Brohm is that it’s his alma mater. Seeing as how his alma mater just fired his mentor, I’m not so sure it is a sure thing.

According to Lville boards, the founder of Long J Silvers is financing their buyout(s). So apparently money is no object. They also reiterate it is a done deal that Brohm is coming. Let's see how accurate they are.
From their board (wild speculation):
From the louisville scout board
This is from an Insider on this board whom we all trust. He has given me permission to post it. Here is what he said and I quote,

"Brohm will 100% be the next coach. Already agreed in principle to the deal."

If CJB goes to Louisville there is only one reason, that is where he wanted to get to at all costs. With that said, I still would not get it if he were to take the job. A lot of uncertainty over there at UofL. Two years into building a program from the ground up. Is he going to through all that away? A coach can only tell players he will be there so many times before they stop believing them. If it were my kid and the coach told me last week that he would be there and then left, there is no way we would follow. So would, but some wont.

Jeff Brohm's mentor is Howard Schnelleberger.

Playing yes, coaching was Petrino at Louisville.

Ok, yes he was with BP at UofL and later WKU as a coach.

After Petrino left Louisville to take the Atlanta Falcons head coaching job, new Cardinals head coach Steve Kragthorpe kept Brohm on his staff as an assistant head coach and passing game coordinator. Brohm declined an offer to join Nick Saban's staff at Alabama in 2007 to stay with Louisville.

Brohm joined his former college head coach Howard Schnellenberger at Florida Atlantic for the 2009 season as the quarterback coach.

He is scheduled to do a regular press conference about the Minnesota game, and the question about the Louisville job is all but certain to be the first question.

That’s something I never address or think about during the season

Brohm’s ties with Louisville is undeniable. But even then he has already left Louisville once for his mentor when he was a player, so saying the ties will be enough to sway him is being naive. Louisville firing his coaching mentor, while not certainly a minus, and asking him to be the replacement cannot be a plus. That is putting aside Brohm having to break the trust put on by Purdue, its fans, players, and recruits to go to Louisville. Brohm still might decide to join Louisville, but it’s not an automatic decision.

Yet the question will be asked and he would respond in any capacity. One thing is for sure; however he answers, the Louisville fans will still be here screaming “Jeff is ours!”

Until he says something he shouldn't and gets kicked out of his own company. Oh wait, that already happened. Deja vu!
