Would be?
A. Defensive End
B. Linebacker
C. Defensive Tackle
D. Offensive Line
E. Special Teams
F. Secondary (except can you pin the blame on the secondary when the opposing quarterback can stand back in the pocket and pat the ball for seven seconds?)

IMO, after this recruiting class comes in, it will be OL, then CB.

Weakest
OL
Secondary
DE
DT (assuming Neal is healthy)
LB (assuming Bailey returns)
Special Teams (influx of under class talent)
Strongest

I think this team wins the West next year. Key new pieces in key positions.

This class fulfills needs in key areas. Along with last year's class, we will also have some depth in areas that we have not had in some time.

The usual suspects of Wisconsin and NW would have something to say about that. Purdue can improve their record to as many as 9 wins and can contend if they stay disciplined with no mental mistakes causing big penalties and field position.

Our pass rush was nonexistent this year. So, even getting back to what we had last year Would be monumental. Even though we've Got some great pieces coming in next year, they'll be true frosh. Not sure who we've got waiting in the wings as for as redshirts go on the DL. Kind of curious to see what Barnes could do at DE, similar to cliff Avril. I'm confident though that oir coaches will figure it out and get the best players aligned accordingly.

Id say our LBs are and will be the strength of the defense.

2017 pass rush was bad too. Bentley and McCollum were just better blitzers than Jones and Barnes.

That comparison is not fair. Bentley and McCollum were 4th and 5th year seniors. Barnes and Jones were sophomores who mostly played special teams as freshmen.

How is that not fair? Some LBs are just better at blitzing than others, be it instinct or experience. Its not a knock on Jones or Barnes.

Weakest? I would say DL.
Strongest? WR

I’m still shocked we won 6 games with literally NO pass rush. I expect Dean and Karlaftis to play
