Biggie finishes up meeting with teams today. He should know by the end of the day where he stands. Also, the deadline is in two days, I imagine he will make his decision late tonight or early tomorrow. It won't be an easy one. There are pros and cons to both staying and going, but one way or another we will have something to talk about!!

I thought he had no chance, or less than 1%. It would be awesome to welcome back a POY candidate to a solid team with good upperclassmen and some exciting freshman. Definitely respect his decision and if he goes, I wish him all the best. But will certainly be an exciting year if he comes back.

Vince will definitely be back, and Biggie has until the clock turns from Wednesday to Thursday to make a decision. No one knows what Biggie will do, but everyone says it could go either way.

I still bet he stays. Always have. I also wonder how many people are going to say that they felt he was going to stay as well? Am sure hundreds. If I am wrong, I am wrong. But I have said he stays from the start.

I'd be shocked if he stays. Not sure what else he has to prove individually and the risk of staying is greater than the reward IMHO.
Sure, he could ache 20 and 14, be AA, B10POTY and NPOTY, but is that any different than what he did this year?
What happens if he only avg 15 and 9?

I'm going to predict he's gone. While we say if he returns, he could receive all those personal awards, and we'd make the final 4 etc. but is that what biggie is all about? Rather than going after all those honors, I believe Biggie's real desire is to play in the NBA. Many said last year, he would have left if a team guaranteed they would draft him in the second round. I don't see Biggie as a person who wants to hold out for a shoe deal. if some team promises guaranteed money as a second round pick, I believe he's gone.

I have said HE GONE since the middle of last season.

It's the fact the 2018 draft class isn't known to be that deep whereas the 2017 class is thought to be one of the deeper drafts of the last decade or so. The 2018 class is lacking in elite big men and if Biggie gives another season like he did this last year...he'll improve his stock. The improvement of that stock along with a weaker class could mean a very good chance at a shoe deal with Nike which means a lot more money. Age isn't a factor since Biggie, although being a junior...would only be the age of a sophomore.

I think Biggie's deep drive is to leave a legacy where he is at. He said so in high school where he wanted to bring the school's first state championship home. Although well beloved by Boilermakers, I wouldn't put Biggie in my top 5 of greatest Boilers ever....unless he comes back to Purdue and does it again. If he did that, I'd put him right there with Wooden, Mount, Big Dog, and JBC.

I'm sure he would like to stay and have an opportunity to lead Purdue to a National Championship but his stock my not get any higher than it is right now and with that, he needs to go and maximize what he can get. Good luck Caleb. Always a Boilermaker.

Each will ultimately do what they think is best, JMO but it seems like the feedback Biggie is getting is to become more of an outside player, hence his losing more weight and looking or becoming thinner...he can work on that if he stays....Edwards on the other hand is looking to help a personal situation but is not NBA ready and will not get NBA money. If he thinks he can make enough money abroad to help then he might just go and might never see NBA type money...either way stay or go, I wish them the best!

I agree with the Vince-is-back, Caleb-is-gone crowd but we'll know more tomorrow.

Am I correct in assuming that it Caleb decides to stay in the draft he doesn't actually have to say or do anything at all? In other words, it's possible that Wednesday can come and go without any official word from Swanigan, and if that happens he is committed to the draft?

I'm not predicting that will happen. I just want to make sure I understand the process.

Good question. However, in this mad social media world, I want the whole world to know my every move, I expect him and his team to make a big announcement. Sorry for the runon sentence...

You are correct on the process: He has declared for the draft, if he doesn't remove his name before the deadline, he remains in the draft and nothing needs to be said. I'm sure there will be, but he doesn't "need" to say anything to stay in.

I have to believe even if Biggie says nothing, one of his friends or GBI KHC will tweet, or Purdue will make an announcement.

Technically it's 11:59 PM, but you're correct in that it's not a 5:00 PM deadline or something like that.
