Those vaccines actually stopped infection and the diseases were/are extremely dangerous to children. The covid "vaccine" does not stop infection/spread and children are at more risk from the seasonal flu. But yeah, other than those MINOR differences it's the same.

No, the administration most certainly didn't create the shots. They were created by companies, primarily overseas. Giving Trump the credit is misguided. There were some hurdles lowered by the administration, I'll give you that, but the damage done by his rhetoric was infinitely worse than those benefits.

Who was in charge? It's politics. You didn't care when Trump called people everything from his bully pulpit. He was still in charge. The buck stops there. No one else was in charge of all facets of the federal government responsible for responding to the pandemic. The only time Trump put a lab coat on was to walk through the facility. He merely ordered the federal government to provide funding and guarantees. He could have done much more sooner. Like ordering the CDC and NIH to establish temperature checks and quarantines around international airports for any incoming passengers.
