Early on he called it a "democratic hoax". Precious time was wasted while the virus spread. We didn't have to have vaccines to control the virus. The Japanese did it by taking it seriously early after their first case on January 16th of 2020. They installed a mask mandate, social distancing, checking of temperatures at airports and quarantining those with fevers. They never shut down their economy or schools. They never spent the trillions of dollars we did because they took it seriously EARLY on. With a population of 162 million they lost virtually the same number of people as were lost in the state of Indiana that has a population of 6.8 million! That is even after Japan hosted the summer Olympics. So in reality, we did a shit job of handling this virus. It is not even debatable. The facts are clear.
He obviously had a choice. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t need to live with the consequences of his decision.

The hoax was about the origin of the Virus!!! Yes Japan made early steps in Jan...the virus was already at their door step at that time! In Feb ...Fauci was saying he didn't think the virus was that serious at the time...on to late Feb...Brandon was calling Trump a Xeonophobe for wanting to ban flights from China...on to early March...Pelosi was saying San Francisco is open for business..making the point this virus is blown out of proportion!!! Fauci who was all over the place clear into March....was changing guidelines and opinions on a daily basis!!! And those are the facts..

Funny you mention Japan when my wife's corporate parent is based in Japan and a few months ago its executives flew to CA to get vaccinated because Japan didn't have any available but they were able to come to the USA because our previous president helped develop through operation warp speed. I guess if your company will fly you around the world for a vaccination they could have gotten in Austrailia or New Zealand or Korea. They now have vaccines in Japan. Yes, Trump put warp speed in place. That was after months of waffling back and forth and acting like it was no big deal. So since he put it in place, why are there so many Trump supporters that are afraid of the vaccines?

What are you talking about? Are you familiar with smallpox, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, ... Note that none of these are ravaging the nation due to vaccination mandates.
