My understanding is his buyout is reduced by whatever he makes with his new job.Since he found other employment he still gets the Nine million ?
Will he also get to call their offensive plays? My understanding is his buyout is reduced by whatever he makes with his new job.
Pretty amazing he was able to get a job as a DC at a P4 school so quickly. Huskie fans must not be paying much attention.
Win win for all parties.Since he found other employment he still gets the Nine million ?
Agree. Probably needed a few more years at the DC position to understand being a HC.Good for him. He seemed like a decent dude, just not a head coach.
gets to stay in the same conference tooCan’t see how this ends well. Here for it!
Well we certainly should know how to scheme against it.Can’t see how this ends well. Here for it!
Well he wasn’t committed to that here. I’m not sure if maybe everyone just quit watching or what, but Thieneman was not playing that way for most of the year. What’s interesting is that last year when he was playing that way, he was an AA. Brought him up this year and he made literally zero plays on the ball and missed his fair share of tackles attacking near the Los.Will be interesting to see if he remains committed to the safety starting 30 yards from the line of scrimmage.

Who were they?He was a great recruiter of defensive players
REALLY???He was a great recruiter of defensive players
Close to leading the nation in points against.REALLY???
I admittedly didn't watch much of the season and almost nothing in the last half but I know I saw some of it early in the season and it was brought up on almost a weekly basis by the broadcasters last season. Maybe he eventually figured out that it wasn't working here.Well he wasn’t committed to that here. I don't believe his contract with Purdue included an offset in buyout. My understanding is his buyout is reduced by whatever he makes with his new job.

That is normal, but Nathan Baird seemed to believe that this provision was not in his buyout contract. I haven't looked at anything Nathan X'd out since Walters took the job.My understanding is his buyout is reduced by whatever he makes with his new job.

He needed a few more years as a dc then 4 as a hc at a smaller school. We literally hired him 10 years too early and a very limited resume.Agree. Probably needed a few more years at the DC position to understand being a HC
I believe this past year was a BIG eye opener for him as a head coach. He should have learned that friendship doesn’t necessarily make good coaches. Also, you need to have a staff of coaches that have multiple coaching experience to cover for incompetence in a coach like Harrell. To name a few! Maybe in a few years he will be ready to try again. He ne

Teams didn’t have to throw on us to be successful this year.I admittedly didn't watch much of the season and almost nothing in the last half but I know I saw some of it early in the season and it was brought up on almost a weekly basis by the broadcasters last season.
