W. Ken. 3 star DE commit just ....

name please ? unfortunately, his decommiment from WKU doesn't mean he will be a guaranteed commitment to Purdue. if it's BJ Sharpe, he had a lot of other good offers including Alabama and Kentucky. if it was Paul Taylor, he had offers from Louisville, Kentucky and Rutgers.

I finally found it was B.J. Sharpe. One of the problems with team recruiting rankings is many sites still have players included in their commitment list who are no longer committed. I noticed the RIVALS ranking for WKU was still above Purdue today, but that will obviously change. I noticed the 24/7 site still listed DE Sharpe and LB Curry as commitments. Curry decommited in August. other recent notable WKU decommits : TE Paulson and RB Pierre in October. and RB Huntley on 4 December. I have to believe there will be more. Some may follow Brohm. Some may look elsewhere.

I'm I the only one who thinks it's strange that he has some decent offers Kentucky, Miss St. and then...

Alabama. One of the best if not the best program in the nation but other big time programs haven't offered him.

Just seems strange but hope to get him to Purdue.

In all candor, I question that Bama offer. Where are LSU, Florida, UGA, Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, FSU, Clemson, Southern Cal, Texas, A&M, and all other top 20 programs? Might be true but I take that Bama offer with a grain of salt.

Even if it is a legitimate offer, he would be on the bench for 5 years. Playing at Alabama has it's perks, but a place like Purdue could offer him immediate playing time. Purdue has a great new coach, and is now getting the support it needs from the athletic department. Now is the best time for young talent to sign up because of all the holes that need filled. I think coach can sell it. I would like to see a top 50 class for the next two years and after building up relationships, try and get into the top 35.
