Vote for toughest venue in B1G

Statistically, I'm not sure you can argue against Kohl Center. Of course, the programs have more to do with making a place tough to play in than the building itself. Assembly Hall is certainly a tough place to play but as far as a basketball venue goes it is a hole.

I'd have:

1. Kohl Center

2. Breslin/Assembly Hall

4. Mackey (Stephen Bardo would probably have this higher)

Assembly Hall gets bonus points for "extra" defenders....

Kohl Center is about as sterile of an atmosphere you can find. Not loud, students are removed from the court.

They just have really good teams that play with a weird, messed-up ball.

The two best in the league are Mackey and Assembly Hall. Michigan State is decent, but they put the Izzone right behind the bench and the things they say to your players / personnel are some of the most vile and disgusting things you will ever hear at a basketball game. I guess that makes for a great atmosphere.

Reflection of the players they support. Speaking of which, it's been a few weeks since a former Spartan has beaten a woman I believe. Kudos to them for cleaning up their act.

Cute cute cute. Last time iu played Purdue tommy had the ass on tap and ran that sucker dry

WAH WAH WAH WE GOT WAXED WAH WAH WAH LETS TRY AND BE CUTE BY SAYING LAST YEAR IS 2015 SO WE CAN AVOID ADMITTING WE GOT ASSBLASTED FOR ONE ADDITIONAL MESSAGE WAH WAH WAH

The video wasn't from last season moron.

Somewhere in a federal pen, Jared Fogle having his ass on tap too trying to keep his mind on IU basketball.

Todd Leary's there with him for "moral" support.

As far as the venue discussion, I would actually prefer there to be students behind the opposition's bench at Mackey as well. However long it's been now, I think that was smart on MSU AD Mark Hollis' behalf to allow the students those seats at the Breslin Center.

Keep voting! It's still open. Mackey Arena is only trailing Ass(embly) Hall.

Funny that IU seems to be leading based on votes from places out west and south.

In other words, people that probably don't know much about b10 ball have voted for the biggest historical program.

I'm looking at the world map of where the votes have came from and there are none from Russia. How can that be? Area-wise, it's the largest country in the world. No votes have came from Greenland, either, but you never hear about people from there being involved in sports, so that doesn't surprise me as much. I am surprised about the votes from places like Cambodia, Vietnam, and Indonesia, though. They KNOW in India that Mackey is the loudest venue, lol.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but why poll fans about the "toughest place to win"? Each team's all-time won-loss record on its own court should settle that question empirically.

Now - "coolest arena," "loudest arena," "best/worst fans," "best/worst food," "most memorable games" --- those all seem like legitimate topics for a fan poll.

I think it's supposed a combination of best home-court advantage, along with best overall atmosphere.

Tried to get in and vote today but couldn't. The poll is over and they listed Mackey 4th, behind IU, MSU and WI, in that order.

I found it funny that the writer bashed on Assembly Hall in his article. Seems he feels that Hinkle Field House is a tougher place to get a win if you are the visiting team.

Thx Nag. Screens came up different today and I was able to vote. Wish I hadn't missed on yesterday. That might make the difference.

Ok, now the voting's over. Ass. Hall won the for B1G.
Things like this are ridiculous. Time and time again players who actually payed in the Big put Mackey as one of the toughest, if not THE toughest places to play. Who gives a damn what a bunch of fans think?

You do, or else you wouldn't participate on a message board.
