USC at Purdue

These games are like watching girls high school basketball mismatches. Look, I understand losing these games, it should never be exceptable to lose by 42 points at home, this is one reason why I don’t enjoy the women’s game that much, these scores are ridiculous. Not sure how Purdue gets much better, if they can’t bring in good portal players they aren’t going to win with 1-2 top 75 type recruits. The difference between a top 10 girl to a top 50 one is huge where’s the men’s aren’t

Do we just not have any talent? It seems the excuse always we are a young team.

When your coach cannot keep players or develop talent, you get a team like Purdue is. There is talent on this team, Better than our results show.

We had 16 points in the 1st quarter and 21 the rest of the game. Okay, someone can say that we were expected to lose. That's a given, but are we seeing any improvement? If yes, convince me.

I will not try to convince you. I don’t know the answer. The talent disparity, however, is overwhelming. But now that all the giants are out if the way ( save for O$U) we may be able to see whether we have improved or not. That usc team has 8 burger girls on it, and you can only play five at a time. On the hand our last burger girl was our coach. Kind of like Haiti going to war against the USA. Not much uncertainty about the outcome. So the season so far is not a good yardstick about what kind of team Purdue is other than it obviously is not competitive against the conference top half. The MTU loss is troublesome but that was a lot of games back. The rest of the season will definitely tell where Purdue is in the big picture. We’ll see. Boiler up!

Time for Gearlds and staff to go. This is embarrassing - it’s been embarrassing since our first “worst defeat ever” this year.
If this program can no longer compete then just shut it down. Paying these coaches bookoo bucks is ridiculous for the product on the floor.

Not sure if you've paid attention, but Iowa lost like 5 games straight after curb stomping us, to a depleted UILL, a depleted NebU, and IU; all teams we have yet to face. Their only win since our game was against PSU. They are not a team that should have curb stomped us the way they did unless we are just really awful.

A beat B, B beat C therefore C cannot beat A sounds like a sound argument, but it does not always hold in basketball. O$U beat ranked Purdue men last year and this year. PSU women beat O$U. That is good to keep in nund but it is not a predictor of what will actually happen. Boiler up!

Talent disparity falls squarely on the shoulders of Gearlds and her staff. They are paid 6 figures to get the talent and build a cohesive team.

I hear you, but in this age of nil schools that pinch pennies have practically zero chance unless they can hit lightning in a bottle and find a couple of hidden gems under the radar. Not likely to happen. I’m afraid the days of Purdue wbb national relevance are ancient history . Boiler up!

Take a look at the 140 programs ahead of us. Power houses like Troy, Abilene Christian and Purdue Ft Wayne certainly can’t have better NIL. Lol.

True but they don’t play the same quality of teams year in and year out. Hammer down!
