Trump undresses Zelensky, wins again.

He is not...NOT...taking the side of Putin. You really need to turn your TV off and leave it off. Same for your computor.
Name me all the times since he's been elected where he criticized Putin. Called him a dictator or said he was responsible for the invasion. He's keeps saying millions and millions are dying but never blames Putin.

Your problem and that of many who used to be real republicans is..........you know Putin is a rat. You were brought up to believe communism/socialism is evil. You don't like Russia or Putin. But to admit Trump likes him and defers to him and helps him is a bridge too far. What's your out? Just deny the facts. Deny all the evidence. Just keep claiming trump has been tough on him.

Well here comes the talking point reply: "You can't make a deal with Putin by insulting him!"
Of course, Trump is always ready to insult so many other countries and their leaders; allies and enemies alike. Except for Putin.

Our resident student of history did not understand why FDR began his letters to Stalin during WWII with 'My Dear Mr. Stalin'.

Do you understand why?

I'm absolutely fine with Trump not publicly insulting Putin.

A better question: Did FDR publicly call Churchill a dictator and tell him it was the UK's fault that Hitler was murdering so many?

Yeah lol. Never stopped him before.

As you say, he picks fights with long time allies, we're told it's a negotiating tactic. Never with Putin.

One negotiates differently with each negotiator. I'm guessing you never knew that. Putin is different than most others and thus, needs a different set of negotiation skills. Trust in the President Bob.

No, of course not. Churchill was a true ally who was not ripping us off.

It was the French and UK leadership in the 1930s that were responsible for Hitler amassing the military power to murder so many.

You need bni to teach you some history.

Which long-time 'allies' has he picked fights with that have not been ripping us off ?

Trump's comments are intended to induce desired behavior, not to insult or praise. He has worked the tariff threats masterfully, with Canada, Mexico and China jumping through hoops on an almost daily basis. Just today, Trudeau is again groveling for a WH meeting with Trump.

The European NATO slackers are suddenly all goosed up to spend much more on defense. Ditto funding Ukraine. Wasn't that the objective? They spend more, we spend less. Get it?

For what reason should Trump insult Putin? What's to be gained? As I have abundantly documented, the US and Europe lied to Russia about NATO expansion for 35 years. Russia acted in their own best interests when Biden and Ukraine sought further violation of the Cold War treaty. Biden and Zelensky deserve the insults. If Trump insults Putin, what is to be gained?

Off the top of my head
Denmark has been ripping us off as part of the NATO ripoff. Trump said last night he favors letting the Greenlanders vote if they want to become part of the US.

The Aussie PM was very insulting about Trump after the 2020 election.

Canada is part of the NATO ripoff.

How the fck does Zelensky deserve the insults?!

The objective could just as easily be the trump to be allies with Russia and move away from the democracies of Europe.

If he really wants peace, shouldn't he be acting like he doesn't prefer one over the other?

Instead, since becoming president he has taken the following actions or positions.

Pushed Russian propaganda that Z is the dictator and Ukraine started the war.

Gave in on two key negotiating positions. Ukraine in NATO and a return to prewar borders. Gone. Got nothing.

Cutoff arms shipments to Ukraine.

Undermine our traditional European Democratic allies. Yeah, you hate them because some didn't reach 2%. Great reason to completely dismantle 80 years of trust.

Picks a fight in the WH with Z.

Orders a halt to all offensive cyber operations against.

Not criticized Putin EVEN ONCE.

Now you tell me sergeant, which side does he seem to be favoring? Does that sound like someone who is negotiating in good faith? Name me all good things he's done and said about Z and Ukraine that balance this out?

If you can answer without once again blaming Ukraine for the war I'll be impressed.

Gee. Thanks for the life lesson. I didn't know taking the same approach with every person I meet was wrong. How can I thank you?

Do the negotiating skills you're referring to mean giving Putin everything he wants and continuously attacking his enemy?

Here's the list again numnuts. Tell me how any reasonable person would think Trump is playing this down the middle.

Hey; here’s the Trump negotiation strategy:

Attempt to publicly shame a democratic ally that has been invaded by a murderous dictator.

Publicly mock and insult our closest allies and their heads of state. Invent strategies to continually troll our closest allies.

Do not stand up for democracy and American values. Never never never insult murderous dictators.

That’s either some next level 3-D chess or a guy that can relate far better to Vladimir Putin than Western democracies.

Without your first sentence, I thought you were talking about Biden.
