Painter went after him hard. That was before mayer and ertel so i doubt matt looks but worth noting.
Not seeing it at this point.Painter went after him hard. That was before mayer and ertel so i doubt matt looks but worth noting.
Nope. He's figured out that UK will recruit over him constantly. True Blue Loyalty only runs one direction.I thought he and his family were all true blue Blue. Did the potential of getting more $$$ happen?
He has no path to minutes. Should have realized that when he committed.I thought he and his family were all true blue Blue. Did the potential of getting more $$$ happen?
if he were willing to take a back seat he could just stay at Kentucky.Would he be willing to take a back seat in playing time to be part of Purdue’s team? Or does he still have visions. Of becoming a star somewhere and getting lots of nil money?
Recruiting winds are shifting. Gotta think we get in on more premium players moving forward with the money we have flowing. Seeing him play this past year he’s not on my radar as anything more than a 7-8-9 guy in the rotation.I invested a huge amount of time in him. Smart player going to be successful IMO. But I would pass on him just because I hold grudges.
Would say even 9-10-11th guy tbh. He was outmatched all last year.Recruiting winds are shifting. Gotta think we get in on more premium players moving forward with the money we have flowing. Seeing him play this past year he’s not on my radar as anything more than a 7-8-9 guy in the rotation.
Not worth any substantial payday at all
As others have posted, hes not transferring to sit. He could do that at uk.Recruiting winds are shifting. Gotta think we get in on more premium players moving forward with the money we have flowing. Kentucky has reportedly spent in the 17-20M area. Indiana is going to end up around 12M and that's probably near the bottom of the Top 10 in spenders. The amount of money it's going to start taking to get 5 stars and some of these big time transfers will start getting nuts. Rice getting 3M from USC is bonkers.Recruiting winds are shifting. We couldn't get 5 stars before, why should this be any different.Kentucky has reportedly spent in the 17-20M area. Money changes things... You just now have to have the money. BUT... Purdue has an ace of their sleeve if they use it. They are a Nike school. That's how BYU got the #1 recruit. We couldn't get 5 stars before, why should this be any different.
I would agree. That recruit’s big NIL contract came from NIKE and not BYU. What Purdue needs to do is get NIKE to be their recruiter and benefactor. With NIKE giving out the big bucks, we need someone at Purdue bowing down to the brass at NIKE and have NIKE persuade their next players to come to Purdue. Purdue is a lot better and more fun place to be over BYU. BYU is kind of a dull place.Money changes things... You just now have to have the money. BUT... My point was that money hasn't changed anything in Purdues scenerio. Only a very few will have the unlimited resources. The rest will continue on, the same.Money changes things... BYU didn't fork over all that money for AJ Dybansta. Nike paid him and told him to choose a Nike school. He chose BYU. So if Purdue got in good with a big time Nike recruit or two, Nike would likely foot the bill to carry the brand and keep big talents on their side.My point was that money hasn't changed anything in Purdues scenerio. What does Nike school have to do with ace up their sleeve?
Was it announced that it was Nike? BYU has an abundance of rich alumni/benefactors.BYU didn't fork over all that money for AJ Dybansta. Nike paid him and told him to choose a Nike school. He chose BYU. So if Purdue got in good with a big time Nike recruit or two, Nike would likely foot the bill to carry the brand and keep big talents on their side.
They weren't worried about the school. They are more worried about keeping talent. AndNike dominates every other shoe company in talent (along with being the official brand of the NBA). They'll pay for talent to just stick with Nike. They don't want to lose dudes to Adidas or Under Armor. Was it announced that it was Nike? BYU has an abundance of rich alumni/benefactors.
I'd be surprised if it was Nike as I'd wager them more likely to send Dybansta to one of their other Nike schools with more exposure.
wow, interesting but sad. Millions and millions of dollars trading on this.BYU didn't fork over all that money for AJ Dybansta. Nike paid him and told him to choose a Nike school. He chose BYU. So...you are just guessing? They weren't worried about the school. They are more worried about keeping talent. Ole Miss was in on him during HS and looks like they’ve reached out. However, judging off of how he looked in the SEC last year, western Kentucky or Murray state may be best for him right now.Back to the topic at hand, there's clearly no room for Perry at Purdue right now. Seems like a decent player, just couldn't get minutes at Kentucky. You would think he'd stay in the local area, maybe at a Western Kentucky or Murray State or one of the many schools in Nashville.
You should read the below article, as you are wrong. Also, he moved from Massachusetts to go to a prep school in Utah. And got financial backing from the Jazz Owner and Ainge to land him at BYU. Nike and Red Bull deals just add $1MThey weren't worried about the school. They are more worried about keeping talent. Nope. Nike and red bull only added $1M. Jazz owner and Danny ainge added the rest to secure him to byu.I would agree. That recruit’s big NIL contract came from NIKE and not BYU. A player can go anywhere. We just need Nike to influence them to come to Purdue
Actually there were several verified public reports that he received two NIL contracts from sources outside of BYU. It was reported NIKE gave him $4 million. And he chose BYU because he liked their coachesYes he is. And he is wrong.
The article you had is a bit before the other articles that I posted. One I had even was last month. I am thinking it wasn’t understood where the money was coming from at first.you have your sources. i have mine; it's pretty clear NIKE and Red Bull paid him the majority of his NIL money. are you going to say these sources are lying ?
