Train Wreck. Clown Show.

I am lying???!!! Man, you are a piece of work. You don't even deal in reality anymore.
Trump didn't want a victory for anybody on immigration. He needed the issue to get re-elected. He needed the issue so buffoons like you can bring it up every other time you post.

Encounters track the number of times immigration officials stop people trying to enter the U.S., not the number of people who are released into the country.

Read your own links:

"Leading up to the vote, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise on social media said the bill “accepts 5,000 illegal immigrants a day.” Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn added her voice to the opposition, posting that she would “never vote to make illegal immigration legal.”

It gives stepped-enforcement of removal if DHS encounters a number of immigrants that reaches a certain threshold. The normal process to stop illegal immigrants is still in place. So it gives extra enforcement if in fact illegal immigration is an overwhelming problem that cannot be handled normally.

Those quotes you posted are for their constituents who they are hoping lack reading comprehension or will not actually read the bill.
So, even without that bill, do you think the Biden administration was doing a good job of controlling the illegal immigration problem?
Why do you think it was so high under Biden and now is down 95% under Trump?

No, they weren’t. That’s why they drafted the bill. Something needed to be done.

And republicans aren’t blocking attempts to control the border this go around definitely helps.

I’m just saying that democrats also believe something needed to be done with the border. This is a bipartisan issue. It’s tough when republicans pump their chest about it when the same republicans blocked the democrats attempts to control the border just last year.

For 20 yeas the Democrats have wanted to pass a Bill that gives Dreamers and other immigrants, mostly illegal, a quick path to citizenship, before they would consider closing the border.
Enter Trump, problem solved.

And what happens when there's a dem in the WH? Problem preserved so MAGA has an issue to campaign on and bitch about.

The border is being run by executive order. You live it when your guy is the executive. Not so much when he isn't. That's why there's needs to be a set of laws.......like the most comprehensive and conservative law proposed in 50 years........that was rejected.

There already is a law. Your guy didn't enforce it, right?

You mean there aren't illegals crossing the border today? Is trump enforcing the law?
Far fewer because he is working to keep them from entering illegally and trying to find them when they do, unlike your guy who said they should surge.

That people break the law doesn't mean it is not being enforced in this case, as is did under your guy.

C'mon man.. Republicans and Dems see illegal immigration VERY differently.

Can you name a single Republican led city that called itself a sanctuary city for illegals? Here, I'll save you the time...the answer is no because there aren't any. Every. Single. City. that claimed they were a sanctuary city was Democrat let.
That tells you a lot about how concerned Dems are with illegal immigrants.

People were turned away every day under Biden. People came in every day. And he did let far too many in. Your definition of enforcement is based on quantity. Pretty convenient.

Is there a law that says the POTUS can't let people in the country at his discretion? Trump is ruling immigration by executive order, denying and granting entry to whoever he pleases.

See Title 8 of the US Code.

Trump is violating it. Where's your outrage?

Wake up spanky. Immigration is run by the president. The laws mean nothing. You're good with that as long as your guy is in charge. You'll be bitch whining when he isn't.

Speaking of bitching and whining. I think you’re in the team picture.

Biden couldn't control anything. Worst president in history, which made Maobama and Grant fans happy.

Grant? Generally thought of to be a good President, but you clearly aren’t a fan.

Is it because he took the wrong side in the Civil War?

FWIW, Obama ‘looks like’ the kind of guy that would have backed the Union in the Civil War too.

Invoking the Alien Enemies Act goes against several rules in Title 8.

Kristy is ignoring the asylum rules in Title 8.

Deporting illegals eligible for a due process hearing violates Title 8 and the 5th amendment.

Of course not.

You mean there aren't illegals crossing the border today? Is trump enforcing the law?
I’m sure there are some still trying to cross illegally. But a helluva a lot fewer. Have you heard of any of the migrant caravans lately?

But are you saying the 95% reduction in crossings since Biden’s border policy was scrapped isn’t significant?

Deport them, give them a court date via Zoom, see if they show up.

Did I say that?

Do you think people who broke our laws and entered the country illegally should be deported?
Oh c'mon. You fall back on this same question every time you have no answer.

Do you think the DHS secretary should know the definition of Habeas Corpus? Not only does she not know, she thinks it means the OPPOSITE of what it does.

A dumb mistake but that's just a single blunder. Do you remember Harris' word salads every time she opened her mouth?

Harris on the Oscars: “"We did DoorDash ’cause I wanted Doritos, and the red carpet part was about to start, and nobody wanted to leave to go to the grocery store," Harris said. "So it was DoorDash. … So I was willing to give up whatever might be the tracking of Kamala Harris’ particular fondness for nacho cheese Doritos for the sake of getting a big bag of Doritos as I watched the Oscars."

"But here’s the thing. At what point do we also uplift and highlight the consumer’s right to also expect — and you can debate with me if it should be a right — I think it should," she continued in the clip of the video. "To expect that the innovation would also be weighted in terms of solving their everyday problems, which are beyond my craving for Doritos, but about whatever — and I know the work is happening around — you know, scientific discoveries, for example. To cure long-standing diseases."

“So, I think it’s very important, as you have heard from so many incredible leaders, for us at every moment in time — and certainly this one — to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future,”

She declared the 2024 race for the White House “is the most election of our lifetime.”

“I don’t know what’s wrong with you young people, you think you just fell out of a coconut tree,” Harris said midway through — breaking into a wild cackle.

“You exist in the context of all in which you live and what you came before you.”

“I love Venn diagrams,” Harris said. “Always ask, ‘Is there a Venn diagram for this?’ I’m telling you, it’s fascinating when you do. So, Venn diagram, those three circles, right? It’s just something about those three circles and the analysis about where there is the intersection, right?”

“Who doesn’t love a yellow school bus, right? Can you raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus? Many of us went to school on the yellow school bus, right? It’s part of our experience growing up,” she said. It’s part of a nostalgia, a memory of the excitement and joy of going to school to be with your favorite teacher, to be with your best friends and to learn. The school bus takes us there."

“Culture is — it is a reflection of our moment in our time, right? And in present culture is the way we express how we’re feeling about the moment,” Harris said.

Just months earlier, the VP spoke at a White House event for Women’s History Month in March 2023 to “honor the women who made history throughout history.”

"The governor and I, we were all doing a tour of the library here and talking about the significance of the passage of time, right, the significance of the passage of time. So, when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time in terms of what we need to do to lay these wires. What we need to do to create these jobs. And there is such great significance to the passage of time when we think about a day in the life of our children."

Whatabout?! ... It was not a simple mistake, it's that ICE Barbie is wildly, dangerously unqualified. Deflecting to Harris is absolutely ridiculous.

That question wasn't directed at you Bob. You and I are in agreement that illegal aliens should be deported.

The question was for DG since he seems to think deporting illegals is a bad thing.

And just for the record, I don't know what habeas corpus means either. Should I?

I appreciate you accurately stating my position.

I don't think the question is whether you or I understand what Habeas Corpus is. But I would expect the Secretary of DHS to.......especially since it directly affects the primary job she was tasked to do by trump.

HC wasn't added later in the Bill of Rights/amendments. It was actually in the Constitution.........demonstrating how important the framers considered it to be.

And yeah, you can bring up that these people who are being taken off the street and shipped to foreign jails may not be citizens........but Habeas Corpus doesn't care. It applies to non citizens as well.
