The Palestinian protests are generally peaceful, so I'm not sure what you're getting at. Ironically, I would say the democratic plan is what republicans used to stand for with taking a laissez-faire approach to the economy. Republicans have really lost there way with executive orders against specific private companies and huge taxes on private companies that manufacture abroad.. that level of government intervention is what I would have expected from a democrat honestly.

Whenever I see people-on-the-street interviews, or hear about current-affairs or basic civics tests of college students and others, it is apparent that a majority of people don't listen to the president or just about any other politician. Many can barely read and have no idea who their senators or reps are. So I really don't think most people pay attention to what a president says. Do you disagree?
