Too funny. This paper makes it sound like .....

haas came into the pickle after the game and had his hand is some kind of support wrap. hope it is fine by friday

Haas limited defensively, but so effective offensively. Got to have him on the floor but needs some deficiencies covered up guarding the athletic bigs.

Haas was the star. Everybody on the thread made him sound like he didn't have it tonight. Painter mentions his hand.

That was an AP writer, so it's probably in every paper.
The reporter may have been confused about Haas and Haarms, and mentally credited Haas with some of Haarms' production. Between the two of them on offense and defense, it was a productive game.

And it was great seeing them in there together. If both can stay out of foul trouble, they can present a real match-up problem.

Unfortunately they didn't

Yes Haas is limited defensively. He is just so very lucky. When he is in, the opp just does not seem to shoot effectively inside. His man, Mahmoud, did seem to burn him for a basket. I am sure Mahmoud would have burned him for more, if he did not get in foul trouble. Spauding did hit a 3 on him, when Haas was worried about the size mix match underneath.

I actually think he played a pretty big part of the win. Sure, he didn't have a huge stat day, but I think he turned the game with creating fouls. It looked like "Hack a Shaq" for a while. It was pretty good to see him pressure the "D" like that. Congrats to the big guy.

I don't think Haas played particularly well tonight, but this game shows what a huge impact he has on the game. He is imposing on D and sets good picks. I just wish Matt wouldn't pull him after every foul. This game also shows that he can play when in foul trouble.

I would love to see Painter experiment with this. Haas picks up 2 fouls in the first half, don't replace him with Haarms. Instead, add Haarms to the line-up to take pressure off Haas playing D.
