Heide is going to play, I see separation with Waddel and Colvin. Great athlete and pure stroke!
Hard to judge much with this competition. Heide and Colvin are going to score a lot of points in their careers. Maybe not this year. I agree Heide is ahead at this point. But Colvin is very smooth on offense also. Defense needs work as has been discussed, but so does the whole team honestly. Several guys had their man get by them on the dribble and back door cuts in that 1st half, not just Colvin.
Edey tried a pick and pop 3!!! Awesome addition to his game if he can convert. So happy to see it.
He has a nice looking shot. He adds that to his game, what a weapon.

Not much to learn from tonight. Good minutes by the starters in terms of low turnovers and much better 3 pt shooting. The 2nd unit playing together is rough but at least held the lead for the most part. Can't wait to watch more games! BTFU
Wish Barrett would have whipped the past back out to Berg to try a pick and pop 3 pointer. From the practice videos, he has a good stroke.
Just me or did Waddell not look right when running? Like not trusting his knee? Running just looked…off
Cam twice, Brian once and Myles once that I saw. Could be more I just noticed those. Myles is much farther along on D than he was last year. I honestly don't know why those three got backdoored...whether up too high with body rather than hand or more than a step from their offensive player...or just didn't see ball and man, but only ball?
Could just be getting used to the atmosphere and game speed…even if it’s lower competition. I’m sure it will be addressed when watching film. Hope they’ll be ready to produce when asked and given the opportunities over the next month. Let’s see what they got!
Oh, I'm not worried at all. What I expected. Cam hasn't played in what ...2 years. Pretty much the same for Brian with his knee. Myles has made a huge jump from his high school to Purdue in competition and role. Patience, imagine more improvement will be shown in a couple of weeks as well
Hmm ok. To me, it looked a bit different than the scrimmage this summer and the eurotrip. Hope everything is all good.
Yeah, just seems…not fluid? Smooth? Maybe natural is the word I’m looking for? I hope he’s fine and it’s nothing. Just was something that stood out that seemed a bit different from when I saw him at the scrimmage and some of the euro trip games.
This shows that our defense still sucks. Way to many back doors and drives from a terrible opponent. Not good.
Just watched the first half highlights thus far. Braden Smith’s pull-up jumper looks like a weapon.
Unless Morton’s play improves drastically over this next month, can we please just play Heide with a little Colvin in those minutes instead? I would rather live with the ups and downs for the first half of the year to get them experience and I’m guessing a lot of the fans would too.
