takes all the pressure off the pollsters and the NCAA committee. Will not be a #1 seed, will not be in top 10, and now only 1 game ahead of Nebraska in BIG. If being tight has been their excuse lately they can play loose and free now ... no pressure trying to hold onto 1st place, top 5 ranking, or top seed.

Painter shows his stubbornness with the lack of adjustments. We must be tired because there is no reason to walk the ball up every time with a struggling offense.

Didn't he tell them to "move!"?

When Painter didn't seem to have any answers last week and said something to the effect we have to work harder at being Purdue, I know we were screwed. We have the talent and skill to be a great team. Painter needs to somehow figure it out and get the guys playing like they were when we beat Michigan 92 to 88. If we don't pull out of this tailspin before the season is lost; Painter will never hear the end of it. Painter's legacy is at stake. The lasting effect of such a collapse (if we don't pull out of this) will last for years otherwise.

Is Painter's job at risk...if there is an epic meltdown at the end of this season? Should be...but Purdue loves to stay w/mediocrity

Wow you're ignorant. There is now way this post can be anything serious. It is entirely too ridiculous to be anything but a joke.

I don't think at the end of this season...even if there was a nuclear meltdown of losing out, losing first game of BTT, and losing first round NCAA game....

However, Purdue will likely struggle to get to 20 wins next season and make the NCAA...if that team, with Carsen as a senior and Nojel/Haarms as juniors misses the NCAA's, might need to gauge Martin's interest to return to Purdue. Purdue should never, EVER miss the NCAA tourney two years in a row....especially with the increase in support and facilities.
