When he wasnt let go during the bye and im guessing we will hear bobo wsnted to let the next guy pick.On Twitter “per multiple sources”…

I am sure that this is probably close to the truth that Walters is staying. Bobinski contract is up next year. He has not given any communication about this situation all year.
If it is true, can we forfeit all games next year? Klare and any good players will leave. They will get better money somewhere else. We have no recruiting class. Why would any transfers come here, except for the type of Card and ex GA players we got already.
Is there any flag football leagues that we could join until basketball would start?
My guess is Tom, or his source in the AD's office, is the source. It's the same thing he's been saying for a month. And it's likely not coming from Bobinski, who has kept information pretty limited in the past. No one had a clue Walters was going to be our coach when he was hired.
Secondly, when was the last time Tom was right? Two years ago he had a list of head coach candidates that were about as realistic as Purdue making the playoffs.
The flip side is, do you want him making a huge decision like this and then retiring right after?Really sad if Bobinski dumps this mess on someone else. Total lack of accountability
Yeah I don’t think Tom is a guy to take all that seriously. He seems like a good guy but I don’t think he’s great at his job. We don’t have a real good football insider/columnist and that sucks. Brian is great for BB but we have nothing serious for FB. Kind of mirrors the reality of the program. No one is serious about it.My guess is Tom, or his source in the AD's office, is the source. AD's dont do that. Last year IU fans wanted the same thing you do from their AD and it was nothing but crickets from him until after the Purdue game. Then things moved really fast.It seems to me that if this was truly how things were going to play out, why doesn't the athletic department come out 'fully supporting' Walters and at least help with whatever can be done from a recruiting standpoint?
So what I have gathered Is that Tom is saying Walters is back and that JaMarcus Shephard and Brian Brohm are the 2 guys he will choose from for OC. LmaoYeah I don’t think Tom is a guy to take all that seriously. He seems like a good guy but I don’t think he’s great at his job. We don’t have a real good football insider/columnist and that sucks. It does kinda seem like they’re keeping Walters though lol
Whoever’s idea this is, should be fired on the spot.So what I have gathered Is that Tom is saying Walters is back and that JaMarcus Shephard and Brian Brohm are the 2 guys he will choose from for OC. Lmao
I'd take the fired OC from Wisky before B. Brohm
I thought just about everyone here was laughing at the idea that IU was more financially committed than Purdue?
I'm thinking the same thing. If CRW is your guy, support him and help save his recruiting class. Prospective transfers are watching this debacle.......It seems to me that if this was truly how things were going to play out, why doesn't the athletic department come out 'fully supporting' Walters and at least help with whatever can be done from a recruiting standpoint?
Is it even plausible for anyone outside Walters's family to fully support him right now?It seems to me that if this was truly how things were going to play out, why doesn't the athletic department come out 'fully supporting' Walters and at least help with whatever can be done from a recruiting standpoint?
Thats the spin...been saying it. Its pathetically purdue. The flip side is, do you want him making a huge decision like this and then retiring right after?
Fire BoBo and then hire an AD who can bring along a proven head football coach and his playersThe flip side is, do you want him making a huge decision like this and then retiring right after?
They likely promote Grimes and let her make more DEI hires.Fire BoBo and then hire an AD who can bring along a proven head football coach and his players
Nope. Which is why he should be fired too.The flip side is, do you want him making a huge decision like this and then retiring right after?
Oh for gods sake stop it. It could just be that he’s in over his head and a bad head coach, you know? You are pretty regularly saying this now, do you want to go ahead and say a little more along this line? They likely promote Grimes and let her make more DEI hires.
If he stays, there can be no other reasonOh for gods sake stop it. It could just be that he’s in over his head and a bad head coach, you know? You are pretty regularly saying this now, do you want to go ahead and say a little more along this line?
You don’t really believe that. You’re just showing your ass.If he stays, there can be no other reason
What reason would there be?You don’t really believe that. You’re just showing your ass.
Agree.Oh for gods sake stop it. It could just be that he’s in over his head and a bad head coach, you know? You are pretty regularly saying this now, do you want to go ahead and say a little more along this line?
Why would you care to even think about it? You’ve evidently already determined why he was hired and also have some strong thoughts on Grimes that are pretty baselessWhat reason would there be?
The basis for it is that Tiffini Grimes is employed at Purdue. I think some people believe they invented a DEI position for her and then she made the Walters hire, furthering the evil lib agenda.Agree.
All this DEI bs strikes me as a clumsy attempt at politicizing an ill-advised hire by throwing some baseless culture wars nonsense into it.
Bobinski made the wrong choice, but is there any evidence race had anything to do with it? Seems more likely that Bobinski's top choices either turned him down or didn't take the call, and he put too much stock in Walters's defensive success at Illinois.
Yes but remember, IU doesn't spend more on football than us as some folks claim around here.
Lol yeah, a few posters mock the idea relentlessly. Because they think all you need is new coach. No extra money for coaches or recruits or portal players, just git gud coach.I thought just about everyone here was laughing at the idea that IU was more financially committed than Purdue?
The DEI nonsense is not surprising from folks here. Sad, but not surprising. The basis for it is that Tiffini Grimes is employed at Purdue. I think some people believe they invented a DEI position for her and then she made the Walters hire, furthering the evil lib agenda.
