I'd love to get him but if we don't I don't see it as the end of the world. Still a pretty raw player and as long as Haas doesn't explode I can see him here at least 1 more year.
Weird that he has a tier 1, tier 2 and then 2 tier none schools on his radar though. Ben Howland is a great recruiter at Miss. St but that's a tough place to win, no doubt.

It sounds like most people think he's going to Mississippi State, but I don't know what that's based on. Hopefully, it's just "group think", but Howland has been recruiting well since taking that job.
Probably the great basketball tradition and fan support at MSU
is what has won him over.
What was the crystal ball for Haas, Biggie and Carsen Edwards?
I don't think Purdue gets him, but those guys can change their minds as much as they want. They kind of do it just to get clicks.
Not that it matters much if you're not #1, with the consensus that Kansas is out, do you really think he will have ranked Texas Tech over Purdue? On what basis?
Recent history suggests decent odds for place, Chuchumutha.

I appreciate the insights from those closer to the program on recruiting matters because all I can do is guess......and that is usually wrong.
All things being equal, this is the MSU I prefer to lose recruits to going forward.
Well I wish him good luck and his choice of schools......he must have felt it was the right fit for him...wish more kids would do the full recruiting process like him.
I guess he saw the log jam at the 5 spot with Taylor (3 more years after this one) and Haas (2 more after this one unless he has special year)........and Biggie (could go anytime to pro's possibly and play 4 or 5 spot and Edwards (star in the making and could go Junior or Senior year possibly) at the 4 spot.......
Painter has some good one's lined up for 2017 so all is good......
