TKR Talk

TKR is such a fantastic talent. I don't think he gets the attention he's earned. Part of it is because of how outstanding Braden is, stealing some of that attention. Trey is such a treat to watch, especially on the offensive end.
B1G coaches have to have him near the top of their list for All-Big Ten selections. And if the Boilers go deep into the tournament, he'll be named to some All-America teams.

Throughout his four seasons at Purdue, Scheffler set the NCAA career field-goal percentage record at .685, which broke Ohio State's Jerry Lucas' record of .678, which was set in 1962. He helped Purdue to a 22–8 record in his senior season. Making 71 of his last 78 free throws with a .805 percent accuracy in his career, he was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and a Third-Team All American in his senior year. The 6 ft 9 in, 250-pound center-forward became one of five Boilers to win the conference player of the year honors, along with Jim Rowinski in 1984, Glenn Robinson in 1994, Jujuan Johnson in 2011, Caleb Swanigan in 2017, and Zach Edey in 2023 and in 2024. The "Incredible Hulk" currently holds Purdue's basketball squat max record at 458 pounds and is tied at first with Glenn Robinson and Kenny Williams with 309 pounds in the power clean. He had a vertical leap of 33 inches.

TKR shoots more and is scoring a couple of more points per game while averaging 0.604 YTD. He also has the rest of this year and another year of eligibility to improve :).

Not knocking them… but we have lots of posters who know more about basketball than those guys.
You can knock them all you want, I completely agree. My point was just that Trey didn't necessarily get a ton of respect coming into the season, or even now, from people who aren't Purdue backers.

I think it is hard for a second guy to get that level of respect by fans of other programs when you already have an All American type on the team. Braden was in Edey’s shadow last season and now TKR is in Braden’s shadow.

I was one who thought the extra bulk was going to be an issue. But he's figure out how to back down the big rig and get to he left shoulder for that deadly baby hook.
Once I saw him score on Kalkbrenner in the scrimmage with ease, I knew he’d have no trouble scoring on ppl. Would like to see Broome on him again…maybe like F4 rematch 😂
