Put Mayer on the floor with Braden ,Loyer, , TKR and Cluff......one on one baby, can run some good stuff. Then shooting 42% from 3 on avg , maybe higher.

Then at break DJ , Liam, Cox, Harris, Benter/West ....that is an intense 40 minutes and throw in healthy Burgess.

What a group , lots of combinations, can't wait to watch.

Yes, no more falling off a big guy to double TKR download. Purdue's entire roster next year will be capable of knocking down the outside shot, with consistency. I told my son that he is a student at a GREAT time as Purdue was not that strong when I graduated in 1992.

Going to be great to have the rebounding out there this year.

Purdue has had some great offensive teams under Painter, but I think that this one will be his best (assuming no key injuries) and it might not be all that close.

at least twice in recent history we've "mostly" ALL thought that we had a 10 deep team that would be impossible to stop.
We were wrong.
In part because guys don't always develop as much as we'd hoped in the time span of their growing up.
In part because we have unrealized expectations that color every off season and what the next season "might be".
But mostly what I see is the lack of recognition that OTHER teams are doing all the same things. And that other teams might be just as stacked as us. Possibly with even better players that will grow into a monster team(s) that none of us know anything about at this point.
That WILL be one of the fallouts of this transfer bs.
There will be a team or two (or more) in the hunt every year that nobody expects.
We are expected.
And thus, we are the hunted.
Not our favorite position, but every team would like to be there.
Until they get every teams best shot....

The difference I see with next year's team versus previous years, is that even if the team had zero improvement (I know this won't happen) we would be stacked. Now factor in that you will have some improvement, and you have a great team. We don't need any one player to make some huge leap forward to have a loaded team. That is why I'm very optimistic for next years group.

If we have six guy on the court we'll definitely win a lot of games :)

Seriously, we are stacked and the biggest challenge will be finding enough minutes for everyone.

I don't disagree. Have just learned to temper my expectations.
But there are still a lot of areas that must be addressed with player improvement to be the team some of us are picturing.
Still to be seen:
Is Omar the real deal? And if so can he handle the ball such to give Braden a REAL break in his work load?
Could he be the starting 3? We've all seen what teams with 2 primary ball handlers can do. Tough to defend with 2 post players and a dead eye on the floor.
And/or do CJ and Gicarri have a play in that? Can they play in a frenzy and become disruptive like teams have done to us with deep back courts in the past.
Is Oscar quick enough and can he play with TKR and Raleigh without clogging the paint for everyone else? Can he hit a jumper to let TKR post against 4's?
Can Fletch take that next step and become un-guardable and stay in the game defensively (maybe not needed anymore?)?
Can TKR take that next step and show a midrange game to let DJ and Oscar work low some.
is the new forward quick enough to defend 3's or will we be playing 2 big/3 guard mostly?
Can DJ be strong enough to stay in the game against anyone and be the rim protection this team missed desperately this past season. Can he shoot outside well enough to pull centers out and let TKR feast?
Can Braden take that next step and become decent even against the best defenders. I think with some actual rest breaks he probably can.
Time will tell.
I am extremely optimistic.
what is the best way to buy Final 4 tickets now? Past the order deadline I think, so just 3d party sellers now?

You have until May 31st to apply: $360.00 per ticket. If you're not selected, you get your money back minus $25.00 per ticket.

These are good questions but, IMO, are the difference between being one of the best teams in the country and being the prohibitive favorite to win the whole thing.

If nothing else changes and the team stays relatively healthy, the addition of Cluff and DJ and return of Braden, Trey and Fletch make this team a Big Ten championship and FF favorite.
