My older duaghter is a Freshman at Pitt and I plan to visit her on Dec 1 and take her to the basketball game (PU vs. Pitt last happened in 1977!). I am a noob when it comes to ticket buying and would appreciate any advice my fellow Boilers have to share. I checked out the PurdueSports.com official site and didn't see anything for sale to Purdue fans (do they get tickets to sell?). Pitts official website did not have any single game tickets for sale, only season tickets. I found some $48 per seat tickets (nose bleed top section) on StubHub, but I was hoping there would be better seats available at that price.
Are the StubHub tickets simply season ticket holders selling some early? Do I need to wait a bit before single game tickets are available? Most importantly, is this a game where tickets will be hard to come by and should I jump on those StubHub tickets? The last thing I want to do is wait and be left wanting. I don't mind too much popping down ~$100 for two tickets as this is a once in a lifetime experience with my daughter, but if I could get better seats that would be great.
