When have we ever won marquee games?
Problem is... I don't think L'ville is that good. A good team would have beat us by 40 tonight.
I'd like to be in a marquee game in March.

I think you should make a note to yourself not to post immediately after a game. Wait a bit. Read the board, and think about what you post.
Problem with that is that they lose the marquee game in November...and don't even get to it in March, so that being the case, I am having a hard time buying the conclusion you offered.
No, I don't. And this is the 3rd time I've watched them. Should have lost to ODU and did lose to Baylor. They will finish no better than 5th or 6th in the ACC. Duke, UNC, Pitt, Cuse are all better.

The loss is not going to all of a sudden make us more athletic or play better defense. Louisville is a poor offensive team.

I am stunned that the coaching staff didn't have our ball handlers bring the ball up the court a little faster.
We were content to walk to ball up the court, and let Louisville set their d. I was hoping the whole game, especially after we started looking stagnate, they would try to push the ball and get it down low before Louisville could clog the lane.
That is the thing I have liked the most about Carsen so far this year. He actually seems to understand when we need to push, and when it's ok to slow down (He does push/rush too much at times, but he's a freshman). I love PJ, but he almost NEVER pushes the ball up the court.
I understand that's not how we are built, or how we usually play, but a good team needs to understand how to take advantage and change their game to best exploit their opponent.
Doesn't help that IU is currently running UNC out of the building. Damn

The problem with pushing the ball is that Vince is playing like crap for some reason. Haas can't run and gun, and Biggie is required to play the entire game due to lack of front court depth (we miss Taylor) and he would be dead by the 2nd half
I'm a painter supporter but Pitino is a damn good coach and did something I didn't think was possible this year, he shut down our front court with his game plan. Painters substitutions were off tonight-we didn't adjust well to the game. Carsen and Cline kept us honest and cline is our best outside shooter on the team.

I hope you're right and I hope it makes Painter better as well. It's time for him to use some different looks and sets on offense and defense from time-to-time. It could help the team win certain possessions that they don't normally win after "x" amount of time in games where very little has been adjusted by him and the staff.
