One, there is no forgiveness. That is a lie. The 87 percent of non student loan debt holding households will have to foot the bill including my household in which both of us paid off our loans. Most private-loan borrowers also have federal student loans, so if the federal government pays off (or down) a borrower’s federal student loan balance, that means he or she should have more money to pay off the private loan. Even in the event they don't have a private loan, if they are delinquent on student loans, they are likely to be delinquent on other bills. So this would just bail out their other debt holders. It's not like they are putting it in their kid's college account.

Only about 15% of citizens have student loans. It is the common, everyday folk Biden would have billed to pay off those loans.

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 was, unlike Biden’s bailout, a duly enacted funding authorization passing both Houses of Congress and the President. It created TARP which “invested” money into banks. The final result was a 15.3 billion PROFIT. The big loser in the legislation was you guessed the auto industry investment (which was a sweetheart for the unions and screwed the bond holders who a legal right to first lien). Hey, it's not an either/or situation. King Joe wasn't taking from rich corporations to pay for this vote buying. He was taking from all of us that pay taxes. I won't speak for you but I damned sure don't need any more taxes to pay for somebody else's failure to pay.
