I thought one of primary methods of deal making was to keep your cards close and use all your bargaining chips. The trump admin says Russia doesn't have to give back territory gained in the illegal invasion and NATO membership for Ukraine won't happen. Good job lol.

Good, you’re supposed to lose the land if you lose the war.
And we might be very close to pulling out of NATO anyway, so it won’t matter.
That will all save the American taxpayer billions. $$

You have to lie and speculate to cover trump on this one?

They aren't losing the war.

If we're still in NATO while negotiating and end to the war, why does that matter?

Where's all the swinging d/ck bravado as trump COMPLETELY contradicts what he has said over and over about negotiating and not showing your hand? Why would he give away the store if he was serious about negotiations? Let's hear it. You can't get to your keyboard quick enough to tout his ability to strike a deal and outmaneuver the opposition when you think he has. Now you're deflecting as he screwed the pooch. Or is that the plan anyway? Who really believes he's not simply caving to his buddy yet again?

We're paying 2 billion A DAY in interest on the debt. Congrats. You just payed it for a week.

The reason that Russia invaded Ukraine was that Biden foolishly signed an agreement that would allow Ukraine to join NATO (link). The far-left news media won't report this but the WSJ did. For years Putin had warned that any former Warsaw Pact nation joining NATO would be an act of war. That's exactly what happened.

To end the war in Ukraine, we need to reverse the stupidity of Biden and refuse to allow Ukraine admission to NATO.

If there were no war, there would be no money sent

I heard some 'experts' on NPR making the same stupid comments you are. In fact, maybe you heard it from them and were using it here for your self-satisfied lol fix.

Predictably, you and the NPR nitwits completely miss the whole point of what Trump is doing. Somehow you think Trump is negotiating with Putin about Ukraine.

In fact, he is negotiating with Putin about continued US support for Ukraine.

Ukraine doesn't have to accept any deal Trump makes with Putin, nor do the wealthy nations of Europe. They can fill in for the US if they want to. In fact, Zelensky called for a "European" army to oppose Russia this week at the Munich security conference. I think that is a great idea, and one long overdue.

The Euros can also refuse to follow Trump's statement to keep Ukraine from joining NATO, which was always a dumb idea to begin with. NATO can kick the US out of NATO and add Ukraine if it wants. The EU countries have 17X the GDP of Russia, and NATO will still have two nuclear-armed nations if we leave. Like Zelensky now seems to understand, Europe has the ability and now needs to stand on its own two feet. The US gravy train for wealthy Euro countries is coming to an end, thankfully.

I've posted this previously but it's worth another look. From the NY Times:

“Gen. Dwight Eisenhower, NATO’s first supreme allied commander Europe, felt strongly that his mission was to get Europeans “back on their military feet” — not for American troops to become the permanent bodyguard for Brussels and Berlin.

“If in 10 years, all American troops stationed in Europe for national defense purposes have not been returned to the United States,” he wrote of NATO in 1951, “then this whole project will have failed.”

“But as leaders of NATO allies gather in Washington on Tuesday for the alliance’s 75th anniversary, some 90,000 U.S. troops are stationed in Germany, Italy, Britain and elsewhere, making up a significant portion of the 500,000 NATO troops on high readiness.”

I recall that excellent prior post.
