Thank you. I’m so tired of posters misspelling his name, it drives me nuts. And then to follow with a less than nice post. Geez.
I’m just sick that both he and Myles are leaving but no need to take a swipe at him like this. Wish him great success - he seems to be a really good guy.
We are all entitled to our opinion on this board and in this country and I clearly stated mine and mine is a statement of fact. Purdue will move on with him or without him!

Maybe Benter and/or the new kid scared them off? Cox/Harris were arguably right there with them as true freshmen, so....
I guarantee that they were not worried about Benter or West. You've got limited minutes available at the 4/5 with Trey, DJ and Cluff and four guys returning (hopefully) at the 1 through 3 in Braden, CJ, Fletch and Gicarri.

Minutes were going to be hotly contested and unless your name is Braden or Trey (and likely Fletch), no one was getting a guaranteed starting spot. I would have liked to have had both Myles and Cam back, but I don't blame them for looking for a spot where they could play a bigger role.

Really? I heard Heide and Colvin thought them leaving would lead to Purdue shutting down the program. Thank goodness you set them and us straight.

I was really disappointed when both left but you have to put yourself in their situation, they have 2 years left and want more minutes to show their stuff. Colvin can go to a place like Wisky shoot 3's and play some D , and Cam can go back to his home state and play for the Gophers, the Gophers got a PF from Cal who is returning to the state to play, just guesses

How do you guarantee that about Benter or West? They've seen them play. If they think they are up for minutes, thats' "their" minutes for sure. Bigger role is nice. Losing some of your part time minutes would be much harder to take I'd think.
it's the lack of wanting to compete for those minutes and status that has me shrugging my shoulders and getting to the "might be for the best" in the long run. Both Cam and Myles are "right there" in many of our eyes, so choosing to go elsewhere rather than grabbing the damn minutes seems like a bit of a cop out. I honestly hope it turns out that the money was just too much to say no to. If the new guy got a big chunk and the other remaining big guys get a bigger chunk maybe there's just not enough chunk left to improve the smaller guys? or stay the same if the big guys get a bigger cut (as always happens with this)?????
it's frustrating. I probably need to stop paying attention so much.

Glad you know my opinion! I’ll withhold my opinion of yours!
The day I start caring about opinions of me by random Internet dudes is a long way off bud, so feel free to have whatever opinion you want while your ranting on a message board about kids playing sportsball, especially those who appear to be using two different screenames lol

they both started at one point during the season but just couldnt hit enough wide open shots

Has painter commented anything on this? I remember some years ago when haarms and eastern transferred painter wasn’t really happy and had some things to say about it.
