Well, we needed this loss before B1G. Nothing learned from 15, 30, 60 point blowouts.

In fairness, if the Boilers had his anywhere close to their normal 3pt %, then things wouldn't have even be close..

You get a lot of likes from the guys who have never experienced a championship here. Losers. But just bc the book says it's harder to rebound in a zone doesn't mean it's true.

Yeah, it's typical. Hate to admit it, but we aren't athletic enough to play with teams like this. You can only give CMP the benefit of the doubt so many times. He recruits and coaches this team. We are no closer to winning anything than we were last yr. If we are filled with leaders this year. I would like to know who they are. B1G...just isn't good!
But a lot of the missed 3s were not good shots. Especially the ones by Carsen. Vince took a bad one too.
Carsen Edwards & Vince Edwards combine for 8-30 shooting while the rest of the team goes 14-29. Coupled with the fact that Purdue 18 TO's and most of those committed by those same two players (7 for Edwards and Edwards and 8 more between Mathias and Haas).
Absolutely no reason with the amount of talent on the offensive end that any one player should be jacking up 17 and 13 shots unless they are playing extremely well...I don't hang losses on players much but it was apparent that Boogie and Vince shot the team out of a victory today. No reason that Haas and Haarms should combine for 8 total shots.

Kind of glad Purdue lost saved us from the embarrassment that Villanova would have gave us tomorrow
Agree, teams like this are just more athletic but no excuse for not matching their energy and aggressiveness. Tennessee went after loose balls harder, wanted it more. Didn't feel like the seniors stepped up.
....and here goes ESPN with the BIG sucks routine. Wish I could argue but results speak for themselves.
Everyone in the arena knew where they were going with the final possession and we let them back VE down with no help. Just crazy.

Not the type of D you see in the international game or against the cupcakes and Purdue wasn't ready for it. Old time Big Ten grinder.
I think Purdue should give their practice unis that say "Play Hard" on the rear to the Volunteers. Hard to watch Purdue get out toughed.

Yep, just not enough winning plays.. Usually PJ will make a critical one, and I was really surprised when he didn't knock that down at the end.. It would have been the game winner...
