After reading the article, I guess my question is, why wasn't he already a 2024 recruit since he's out of eligibility? I guess these things can be fluid but that seems odd to me.

He won't turn 18 until football starts this fall, so maybe he just wanted to be a year older?

It was a weird situation. I expected him to reclassify, but was told by several people around him that he wasn’t going to. It all works out in the end.
