Many are saying that Purdue's greatest need on the roster is a quarterback stepping up and leading the team.
Ok, so we have four great young men at quarterback. Results have been mixed for the 2 upperclassmen.
The conventional wisdom seems to be that Appleby will be the starter (but may get a quick hook). Most of us are not in practice every day so we don't see everything. Also most seem to think Sindelar will soon BE the program, thus re-establishing the Cradle of Quarterbacks at Purdue. What about Etling or Blough?
I see that Etling went to a quarterback camp, I assume that all of them may be seeking an outside boost to jump ahead. AA and DE are now experienced and now should be able to deliver (if ever). Are the two younger ready to lead soon enough? If the key to this season is the role of the QB, what does the board think will happen? as far as QB goes?
