I missed it and was hoping someone could provide a link. I’ve done a couple of Google searches to no avail.
I was a Sophomore when Steve was a Freshman at Wiley Hall and we were neighbors and would wrestle from time to time. There were at least three or four that would wrestle him (not at the same time). He was beatable, but he also could win his fair share of rounds. Not uncommon for any of us including Steve to shed some blood while grappling. Good times. Desks and chairs had to be moved out of the way as bodies were flying around on take downs.
Keady would have been pissed if Steve got hurt as I recall he played meaningful minutes even as a Freshman. Mike P, Oscar N, Rodger R. were among at least three guys to wrestle him. Some wins, losses and draws, but damn fun times.
I have another true story (not dirty or scandalous) involving Steve and Ronald Reagan to share for anyone with a link to Steve’s commentary.
