He was one of the few defensive lineman that Hazell recruited that I liked his size. His other defensive linemen all seemed undersized to compete against the mammoth offensive lines of BIG10 teams.
Yeah tough loss, but gotta get the guys on board. The front page article link said several members have departed, and to me that suggests approximately 5 guys gone. I am trying to figure out who they are. I will update the recruiting breakdown thread when I find out. However, that likely means we have more in the neighborhood of 7-9 scholarships still available to give out and let Brohm get his own guys in.
that totally sucks he is leaving, was figuring him to be a starter the next few years, gonna be thin up front, need some size inside

With Wilson out we need DT's badly. There is Neal, but who is the other? Maybe move Robinson over? There are a couple DT's on the roster, but none that are starter material. We keep offering DE's, which we need, but more pressing is the DT position. There are so many holes on the roster it's ridiculous. We need LB's as well. We'll have a solid starting 3 next year, but little as far as backups go, and then Bentley and Ez graduate then all we really have is Bailey. Desperate times and not enough good jucos or scholarships to right the ship.
what happened to Cook? I thought he was a good prospect. I'd like to see CJB get Juwaun Jones to flip to us.

Essentially have to move Gelen inside. I'd move Daniels back to DL. You have Watts, Neal, Criddle and a few older guys who haven't played. Need some Juco DT's. Cook was in trouble a few times since joining the team.
If true that's too bad. Thought he did a decent job this year especially after being a WR most of his time at Purdue.
I could see Daniels moving to DL. I would have hope that Keiwan Jones would have been ready by now for some PT.
Moving Daniels back to DL will not help anything. He has never got a snap anywhere that I'm aware.
Ok, you got me, but he is still not going to all of the sudden become a starter on the DL or even a major contributor. We have some serious issues if he does. JMO.
I'm seeing a bunch of players leave which appears more than the normal attrition. is this a house cleaning effort on Brohm's part? Is he looking at game actions or their off the field actions?

I thought one guy transferred. Armstead williams. Could have been before that though.
Well look at it this way, if you have one of the worst teams in college football the last 4 years, based on record and a few other stats, let guys go who want to, and use those scholarships for new players. What I find strange is that they stayed when the program was the worst ever, and now there is a new coach with a lot of optimism of a better team and they leave. Lets get the program back to where it should be.
New coaches who take over a bad program tend to bust eveyone's ass during winter drills to weed out those who arent willing to work.
Norwood is really the only surprise IMO.
I recall an article in the Lafayette J-C entitled "Is 17 enough?". It went on to explain that a typical football Saturday for Colletto's players was:
