Do they have one for us to just make the Final Four? Because I'd be interested in that one. Definitely an Elite Eight. That seems like easy money.

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused.
So, are you touting your own platform? I thought you meant like BetMGM or DraftKings or FanDuel or one of those kind.
Having said that, I couldn't find anything besides just winning the Natty on all of those, so if yours that you work for has other lines, like winning the B1G or Elite Eight, etc., and we can get in on it, please share. I'm sure a few of us would be interested.

I'm confused that you're confused lol. You asked me what platform I'm using and I told you. Not touting anything. I work in a Sportsbook at a casino in Illinois. The source for lines that we use is called Kambi, which I don't expect many people to know. Our mobile betting site is called Barstool Sportsbook, which is the same kind of platform as DraftKings or FanDuel or any of the others. You can Google it. From time to time I come here to drop some interesting things that I see on our site that might be relevant for Purdue to start discussions.

Some sites have certain bets that others don't. Ours seems to have more than most. Almost too many in reality because there isn't that much business for it.

If you want to get in on it, there are ways, but where you live has a lot to do with it.

I'm not much of a better, but I always enjoy your posts. Thx for doing them.

Interesting that Barstool has the Big Ten as the most likely to have the champion +225

Hasn't happened in over 20 years, maybe we can change that!!

I'm downloading the app right now, and I'm going to check it out!
Thanks!

Long live Portnoy.

Just know, if you don't already, that you will have to go to Ameristar in East Chicago to finalize your Barstool registration. It's part of the process everywhere. They just want to make it hard on people.
You're saying you need to physically go to a casino to register for on line gambling with Barstool? That seems strange, no other on line requires that do they? I'm on Ceasars, draft kings and fanduel and they don't do that.

They do now. At least in IL there was a window but now it's closed. I've been told it's the same in IN.

Barstools competition doesn't do that in Indiana. I just signed up on Caesars last week. In fact, where would you go? Fanduel and draft kings don't have brick and mortar that I'm aware of. What do you do come to the casino and sign some paper work and then you can wager on-line with Barstool? Very strange. I'm really into the on line betting. Unless I was on a trip to vegas I can't imagine ever going to a casino sportsbook again. Much nicer betting on line. It will be interesting to see what traditional sportsbooks do to incentivize people to travel to them. The on-line folks are sure spending a lot of money on advertising. Caesars with the $5,000 first bet deal was quite an offer.

On site registration isn't required by any sportsbook in Indiana. That is an Illinois thing

Hehe... man, I love Purdue, like everyone here. However, such confidence surprises me. Purdue basketball results seem due to statistically surprisingly consistent bad luck, as much as their own shortcomings. I love Purdue, but I hope your Purdue degree has given you more disposable income to burn gambling than mine has. :D

Still, my best uneducated prediction for this season is a slow start, and slightly disappointing regular season, followed by a nice run in the tournament. Hope is almost assuredly an ingredient in my prediction.

While I completely get your point, and I am cautiously, very cautiously, optimistic, I didn't see anything anywhere, on Chi-Boiler's site, or anywhere else, to put money on Purdue going to the Elite Eight, so I guess it's a mute point. Again, while I am cautiously optimistic, not enough to put any money on Purdue winning the Natty, no matter how good the odds are in our favor.

Correct. We don't have Elite 8 odds. From what I remember from last year, we didn't see that until the bracket was announced.

I would say that this team is a legitimate national title contender, but at the same time it hasn’t proven anything and its last game was a loss to North Texas. I really don’t ever go into a season with a lot of expectations, but I do expect Purdue to finish somewhere near the top of the Big Ten and win a high seed. As far a the NCAA Tournament, the talent is there for a run and I am hopeful that Purdue will make it to the Final Four or further, but I am not “expecting” it.

Edit - I thought this was the expectations thread when I wrote this, but I guess it fits here as well.

Lol - Yes it does!

Betting and gambling have become popular these days. Still, we shouldn't forget that it is a risky hobby and you should study a lot before playing with real money. I suggest you open a demo account on a good website and start playing there. This will help you understand how the market works. There are a lot of good online casinos on the internet. Just search for them. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Kansas at +1500 seems like a nice value
Bill Self has been all over the place in the NCAA Tournament. He's won the national title, been to three final fours, and made eight Elite Eights. But he's also been bounced out the first weekend seven times.

We now have win totals for conference regular season games only.

14.5. +130 to take the over.

Michigan is also at 14.5.
O$U 13.5
Indinia 11.5
Maryland 11.5
Michigan St 11.5
where is Illinois since so many seem to think they are just as good or better than we are ?

Guessing 13.5. I can't see it because we still have a ban on betting on IL schools in Illinois. Apparently the bill to reverse that is on the Governor's desk. It will still be extremely limited though. In person betting only, and only the basic bets. No player props, and no in-game betting.

He’s too busy addressing our mask mandate every single day without actually addressing it or giving any benchmarks to hit to remove it. :)
