Coaches hit the road today for fall recruiting.
Matt Painter is seeing James Banks for an open gym then going to Texas for open gyms/in-home visits with Schnider Herard, Carsen Edwards and I believe Clevon Brown. I'd expect him to come back with an official visit date for Herard.
I know Purdue saw 2017 Derek Culver this morning and is due to 2018s Robby Carmody and Dwayne Cohill and will see 2017 offeree Kyle Young soon also.
Per Vermont Academy's Twitter, Purdue had a coach there this morning.
Purdue has tried to recruit 2016 guard Bruce Brown there, but they also have a 2017 big man in Samuel Japhet-Mathias so maybe Purdue is giving some thought to trying to be the only school in college basketball with two Mathiases. Don't know.
